Thanks Dusty. I thought you were insulting your readers for a minute but then I thought of far more worthy recipients of the title of the update. 😁

The chart on the Sarah Phillimore piece is fascinating and makes me wonder ‘where are all these people? Isn’t it time they said something?’

Well done Iowa. Are you listening Ireland? And the FA for that matter.

Beautiful Daphne. My hellebores have burst into life and we’ve got a bank of snowdrops beside the house. At last!

You're welcome, TT.

That was me looking in the mirror🤣

Yes that chart is amazing and, as you say, where are the people speaking up. Several of our friends are full on Terfs but virtually all of my mates from work , whilst agreeing with me in the main, don't do anything about it!! eg. they voted Labour!!

Those snowdrops sound great. Ours have been very disappointing - I'll have to plant some more for next year.

Great hashtag!!

The ending of Planet of the Apes is quite prescient - as anyone who watches British detective shows knows, aged corpse's sex identified by our different pelvises (giving/receiving) so archeologists will have no idea which men chose to live as women. But then why would they care? Anthropologists, perhaps.

Also, the actors playing the Apes were quite respected without makeup, Roddy McDowall began as child star @ MGM, starred in classics & had long & diverse career, Kim Hunter was famously "STELLA" to Brando in Streetcar Named Desire & Shakespearen Maurice Evans was Samantha's warlock father on Bewitched, her Mom Agnes Moorehead began with Welles & was villain in Bogart & Bacall's last film (spoiler!).

Thanks very much. Great and very interesting info as ever.

My brother took me to see Planet of the Apes when i was 10 and I had to get him to explain the final scene to me!! I was going to choose the final scene as the clip but thought that there might possibly be a handful of younger readers out there who haven't seen it or any of the many sequels. I have joked before that the next one will be Mid-Morning On The Planet Of The Apes😂

Thanks again

Great collection, as ever Dusty! I was sure I'd subscribed to you ages ago, but your one-off disabused me of that notion! Corrected now, of course.
