Dear readers

I have to get stuck in to a bit of paid work now but my draft update for today is so longgggggg, especially now that the 'trans' schools guidance has been published today, that I am going to have to split it in two to make it more digestible! Just to forewarn you.

I am probably then going to take a break until after Xmas!

OK I'll be back to you later!😊

Thanks Dusty and thanks for this excellent (as ever) update. Lady Ballers looks hilarious, must look it out.

Some really shocking stuff…don’t know why I still get shocked, and the Digital Services Bill is very worrying.

The Julie Bindel interview was interesting and Arty Morty’s piece is excellent.

I agree, Kemi has been great in opening up the debate but we need action. Did you notice she had a bit of a dig at Liz Truss in the Commons saying that she was pleased that Truss had come round to her way of thinking.

Thanks, TT.

I hope to catch up with Lady Ballers (and some other films!) over Christmas.

I have only just listened to Arty reading his piece while out walking and it is very good.

I didn't notice Kemi doing that - will have to check it out! If they really mean action then the obvious thing to do is to back Liz Truss's bill!

Just to expand on that last point, if the Government back Liz T's Bill then the Government Legal Department will also start work on it which doubtless ought to greatly improve the Bill!!

A few very significant Acts started life as Private Members' Bills which were then backed by Government eg.

The Abortion Act (!!)

The Caravan Sites Act which made it a duty to provide sites for Gypsies ( unfortunately later repealed).

OK I'll shut up now.

Go on, Kemi!!!!!
