KJK is incredibly brave (as always) to take on such a big name and do it in a way that results in the organisation admitting mistakes. Hope they’ve learned something.
Michael Crick is sometimes on GB News and he comes across as pretty woke. I don’t think he wants it discussed because he doesn’t think it’s a problem.
I’ve signed the petitions and I got that useless reply.
I’m very disappointed in the schools guidance but am prepared to accept that they needed to at least get something done. But the problem is that it places the responsibility for deciding which child is ‘special’ enough to transition, firmly in the hands of the teachers. There are two possibilities- schools will cave in to woke, demanding parents, woke teachers will carry on as they are now. I can only hope that there are enough sane teachers and heads who will take courage from the guidance and ban transitions completely as part of their admissions policies.
Yes KJK did a really great job. Polite but firm, giving credit where credit is due but honing in on the problem areas. What ought now to be clear is that you cannot normalise or pander to a fetish - let alone promote it!!
Noted re Michael Crick. I thought it was a useful article to quote just because it reminds people that, despite the recent Woman's Hour, the BBC is still ultra woke and not featuring GC and women's rights.
Oh I agree about the BBC, it’s a disgrace, and I could be wrong about Michael Crick. I’ve only seen him a couple of times so it’s just my initial impression.
A really fundamental organisational error by Genspect putting on their reading list a book that nobody at Genspect had read!! And you would think that the title of the book would give them a clue that they had better check it out first!?
If Stella had held her hands up straight after the tweet the Twitter storm could have been avoided I think.
I think at the very least they should have said something to Mr Illy about his attire not being appropriate!!
Anyway let's hope they have learnt from their mistakes as you say
The fact that they did and said those things when they’re meant to be gender critical, is pretty appalling though. I’m afraid that I’ll be watching what they say with a degree of suspicion now.
Another packed edition, thanks Dusty.

Hi TT

I agree with you re the schools.
Dusty
Enjoy your night out 😁
Thanks 😊

Yes I fully agree, TT. There is a big question mark next to them from now on.
I will be interested to see what the experts say about their Gender Framework. EDI already ( correctly I think) didn't like the Position Statement!!
