I’ll get to Susie Green in a short while. This piece is really an amalgamation of men in women’s sport, the appropriation of language and what has been happening at the Gender Identity Development Service (GIDS) and at the Tavistock where GIDS was based…and about Susie Green and Mermaids , of course.
This first bit is inspired by trans identifying male cyclist Emily Bridges who has described him being told he cannot take part in competitive women’s cycling ( albeit he can, of course, take part in men’s competitions and ,apparently, in a new ‘other’ category) as amounting to ‘genocide’. He needs to learn what genocide actually means and how insulting it is to, for example, the victims and the survivors of the Holocaust and their families and friends to misuse this word in such an outrageous way.
OK, Addled Brain Series No 23! The Killing Fields is a 1984 British film about the murderous Khmer Rouge regime in Cambodia, which is based on the experiences of two journalists: Cambodian Dith Pran and American Sydney Schanberg. Lasting for four years (between 1975 and 1979), the Cambodian Genocide was an explosion of mass violence that saw between 1.5 and 3 million people killed at the hands of the Khmer Rouge.
Mr Bridges needs to watch this so he can find out precisely what genocide means and looks like.
One of the things ( there are many about gender identity) that really infuriates me is that we, as ever, present full detailed arguments and, in response...well, the anti-women activists don't respond they just insult us and make outrageous and ridiculous allegations! To give just one example ( there are many, of course) Kathleen Stock spends from pages 83 to 89 in her wonderful book Material Girls laying out full scientific detail as to why male athletes will always beat female athletes. Mr Bridges does not respond to those kind of hard facts, of course, but throws out insults and offensive allegations.
Kathleen Stock writes:
The superior athletic performance levels of males are accounted for by possession of a Y chromosome, associated natural differences in testosterone levels, and the irrevocable post-pubescent effects these leave on the body. In terms of speed, there is a consistent 10 per cent performance gap between elite males and elite females in track and field, which also extends to swimming, cycling and rowing. Research biologist Dr Emma Hilton has done a lot of work to publicise these differences. She notes that the women’s world record for 100m sprinting was broken by 744 senior males in 2017 alone. In terms of strength, males are 20-25 percent stronger than females in Olympic weightlifting. Wherever speed and strength are important indicators of success in any given sport, that sport should have separate male and female categories. In contact sports, this is yet more pressing because differences in average weight combined with speed and strength make contact with male bodies particularly dangerous for female ones. ( page 85).
And what does Emily Bridges think about Riley Gaines being kept hostage for 3 hours in a room when she was just trying to speak on this subject at San Francisco University? See my report on that here:
https://dustymasterson.substack.com/p/narcissists-frauds-and-enablers
Turning to his allegations it further infuriates me when they refer to 'genocide' ( or Nazi) which is a shocking insult to the victims of the actual Holocaust and their families and friends. Their use of language is gobsmacking - erasing our words 'woman', 'man', 'lesbian', 'gay ' etc and trying to make existing words have different meanings, 'violence', 'genocide', 'misogynist' ...priceless in a recent interview where Stephanie Davies-Arai gets accused by a trans identifying male of being a 'misogynist' - 'but I'm a woman' she responds!
So, on the subject of language, how would I describe the latest revelations about the Tavistock, GIDS and Mermaids? If I was Emily Bridges, doubtless I would talk about ‘genocide’. But I won’t do that. The words I will use are medical scandal. Like Barry Wall and many others, I think there should be a public inquiry and I also hope that some court cases will be brought.
I was a bit confused when the argument first broke out between Mermaids and the Information Commissioner about whether there were any e-mails between Susie Green and Mermaids and the Tavistock - because I had already read about such e-mails and communications in Hannah Barnes’ book Time To Think !! Indeed many of the ‘revelations’ are already contained in that book.
One of the main whistle blowers was Dr Anna Hutchinson. Hannah Barnes writes:
It wasn’t just the clinical work that felt at odds with what she had known before. Anna Hutchinson was immediately struck by the influence of patient groups on GIDS - Mermaids and GIRES [Gender Identity Research & Education Society ], specifically. ‘I was used to being in a team where there was a dialogue with the patient groups that was a bit conflictual at times, where the NHS clinical team had to hold its ground a bit and say, “Well, this is why we’re offering it.”’ That didn’t seem to be happening at GIDS, she says. They weren’t holding their ground…Instead, ‘I just had a real sense that the GIDS management were kind of bending over backwards to try and please.’ (page 80).
Later, she continues:
The pressure [ from Mermaids] did not go away, and in 2016 the Tavistock confirmed that it was ‘highly likely’ that the requirement to be on puberty blockers for a year would be scrapped, and that it was ‘actively looking’ at whether young people could commence cross-sex hormones at a younger age, as part of a ‘research protocol.’ In an email exchange the following month, Mermaids’ Susie Green expressed her wish for the time spent on blockers before cross-sex hormones to be reduced. Polly Carmichael [ the CEO at GIDS] replied that there could be ‘flexibility’ around the year requirement. (page 106).
There are many , many other such references in Time To Think.
So, anyway, Hayley Dixon in The Telegraph ( Trans lobby group Mermaids helped NHS plan treatment for children 27 May) reports:
A trans lobby group helped to draft NHS plans for treating children questioning their gender, The Telegraph can disclose.
Susie Green, then chairman of the charity Mermaids, was part of a task group reviewing services at the Tavistock and Portman NHS Foundation trans clinic.
The service specification, which outlines treatment for children, included details on how “hormone blockers will now be considered for any children under 12”. The relationship between Mermaids and senior NHS employees is laid bare for the first time in documents seen by The Telegraph.
The Tavistock claimed it did not have emails or minutes of meetings with Ms Green but after the information regulator threatened court action, it released more than 300 pages.
Do read the whole article which is here:
Why are Polly Carmichael and Professor Butler ( who attempted to smear Dr Cass at the EPATH conference in Killarney) still involved in GIDS and the Tavistock? And why are the Tavistock and GIDS still continuing at all??!! And why is Susie Green still involved in this area of work? The Government need to step in now. We also need some legal cases to roll forward.

Hannah Barnes herself has now commented on Twitter - very interesting indeed:

Mr Menno reported urgently on this last night:
So has EDI Jester reported last night on it:
BTW Barry has done three further videos on other matters today (!) but I am concentrating on this so I will leave you, dear reader, to check those out:

I will leave the parting words on all of this to one of my wonderful readers, Radhwa Evans-Clare:
I read a piece in the Guardian, that bulwark of faux liberalism and authentic misogyny, that referred to Bridges, and how her (sic) dreams of competing in the women's category had been ended. Yet they don't talk about the ruined dreams female athletes had of first positions and medals, which could become reality, if they weren't obligated to compete against biological males. They don't matter enough, their aspirations don't matter enough not when trans rights, inclusiveness and gross unfairness always comes first.
Bridges can't tolerate being told 'no', it becomes an 'act of violence', but he still gets a voice. I think this arsehole also made a reference to genocide. Anyone uttering anything so ludicrous should be immediately dismissed. He's not a moron, he knows he's talking bullshit, but he and others like him have been having things their way for so long, they don't have to modify what they say or how they say it.
No one benefits from hearing anything they say, but it does provide another window into the deluded, deranged and loathsome world of gender identity despotism that Bridges and his co-conspiritors are determined takes precedence over the one where, in general, women aren't reduced to body parts and clothing and LGB people aren't either an inconvenience or are another variety of transphobic bigots.
I find it hard to believe that an adult who I assume has been to school and perhaps went on to further education, isn't aware he's misusing the word 'genocide' to an absurd extent. Bad enough violence, but genocide, ffs. Obviously, he intends to offend those who disagree with him, and clearly, is prepared to do so by any means available to him. But his offensiveness to people who have witnessed genocide or whose families were destroyed as the result of genocide is abhorrent. He should be made to account for it, or at least challenged. The same should apply to every one of these repugnant people.
MRA's [ Men’s Rights Activists] have become very confident, it's lead to them being more vocal and ridiculously overreaching themselves and revealing what they believe, are demanding and how far they are prepared to go in order to get what they want. They aren't part of the core of those who developed the strategies that has lead to this place, if they were they wouldn't publicly use such incautious language or make the audacious claims they do. But they feel secure, as though all the work has been done, but that can't happen unless they have widespread agreement, and they don't.
There are captured institutions and the consequences of that are becoming increasingly apparent to people who didn't believe supposed GI issues had anything to do with them. Then they see men in women's prisons, boys being permitted to use female lavatories and changing rooms in schools entirely based on their say so - they're now girls - with or without the awareness of their parents. Or Drag Queen story time intended for very young children in schools and libraries, etc. What conclusions do most people draw when they see police cars, buses and train carriages painted in trans and new Pride flag colours. Or when, in some areas they encounter a zebra crossing now appearing in the same colours, so that even crossing the fucking road is politicised. That's the kind of stuff that makes people realise that what's happening is very much to do with them.
Thanks, Radhwa, couldn’t have put it better myself 😎
And thanks to Mole at the Counter via the Glinner Update for this great image:
Finally, my wife and I couldn’t make it to Let Women Speak in London today but luckily she is on Twitter (where she campaigns tirelessly) so we watched all the marvellous speeches:

Very finally thanks to my trusted assistant 😎
A propos of nothing that reminds me of the true story of the council of a little island off the US coast who decided they needed to boost tourism by setting up a website. So they did. www.penisland 😎
Love the words or Radha! Exactly what she said! 👍🏾 great update as always Dusty!
