The 13th Warrior
Update 815. Hillary Cass As Mata Hari! #BeMorePorcupine.
We have got backlogged again at Dusty Towers due to the Six Nations (I’m still recovering from the amazing Irish victory) and some of the grandchildren calling around today. Some pieces will have to be deferred!
Meanwhile onwards with the Dusty, Nicola and Moodie Film Series. Please keep the suggestions for films coming in but please check the list first which I am updating as we go along. Please send suggestions in the comments here at this link:
Next up is The 13th Warrior (1999).
Ahmed ibn Fahdlan is a court poet of the Abbasid Caliph Al-Muqtadir of Baghdad until his amorous encounter with the wife of an influential noble gets him exiled as an "ambassador" to the Volga Bulgars. Travelling with his father's old friend, Melchisidek, his caravan is saved from Tatar raiders by the appearance of Norsemen. He takes refuge at their settlement on the Volga River, and communications are established through Melchisidek and Herger, one of the Norsemen, who happens to speak Greek. From Herger, both learn that the celebration being held by the Norsemen is in fact the precursor to a funeral for their recently deceased king. Herger also introduces them to one of the king's sons, Buliwyf.
The next day, the young Prince Wulfgar enters the camp to request Buliwyf's aid; his father, King Hrothgar, has asked for assistance, as his lands in the far north are under attack from an ancient evil so frightening that even the bravest warriors dare not name it. The "angel of death", a volva (wise woman), says that the mission will be successful but only if thirteen warriors face this danger, and the thirteenth must not be a Norseman.
Antonio Banderas is Ahmed ibn Fahdlan, the 13th Warrior
Vladimir Kulich is Buliwyf
Thanks to two wonderful readers for suggested pieces.

Stop The Clinical Trial
SEEN In Journalism have published on their substack their excellent letter to the Laura Kuenssberg Show following the show’s biased interview with Baroness Cass:
Our letter to the Laura Kuenssberg show
We wrote to the editor last week about the biased interview with Hillary Cass, and in the light of the pause to the puberty blocker trial, we’re publishing our letter
Feb 21, 2026
Thank you very much for covering the complex issue of child ‘transition’ on Sunday February 15.
We understand that you’ve received a great deal of pushback from gender identity activists over this interview, and that the expectation of this pushback was likely the reason for hosting an unbalanced panel and associated failure to challenge or explore key points in the interview. We’ve seen a great deal of that pushback already. Most of it is incoherent.
The BBC has previously and internally acknowledged that balancing the ‘body count’ of complaints is not the key to impartiality, which comes only when an item is curated around a foundation of fact. Complaints must be considered according to their credibility, not volume, persistence and the fear they instil. With that in mind we’d be grateful for your patience in looking at our concerns.
The salient (and indisputable) fact for this item was that no child has an opposite sex brain, ever has, or ever will. It’s empirically and necessarily impossible for anyone, adult or child, to have an opposite sex brain.
The team’s producers should have realised and highlighted this. It’s not an extreme position, any more than it’s extreme to say that the Earth is not flat. Yes, they’re very decided and immovable positions, but it’s an error to ascribe this immovability to extremism rather than objective observation.
Unfortunately the interview was predicated on the belief that there’s such a thing as ‘true trans’ (or ‘wrong body’) people. For the purposes of Sunday with Laura Kuenssberg, it then followed that a cohort of children, however small - ‘true trans’ children - can be rendered content only by pubescent medical interventions that will lead to lifelong pharmacological dependence and the likely removal of sexual function and fertility.
This is an opinion which it is due for the BBC to air, and which should be aired, but which is not due to be treated as a fact. It should have been presented as an opinion, and challenged as an opinion. Instead the interview was built on that controversial and disprovable view.
Unfortunately again, no evidence was provided for this position during the interview. But more importantly, it wasn’t sought by Laura. She should have asked Baroness Cass for evidence that such a true trans cohort exists - after all, the perfect opening was offered when she spoke of ‘brutal’ medical interventions.
Instead Laura’s question: ‘How do we know which children?’ made the false and dangerous assumption that some will benefit from these ‘brutal’ protocols.

UK - The British Medical Association
It is great that the British Medical Association have now taken fully into account the For Women Scotland judgment and the judgment in the Darlington Nurses case. Only kidding!!!😂
Over to Kellie-Jay Keen.
The Media - Round Up
As usual a great round up of the media over the past week from SEEN starting with the pause on the clinical trial of puberty blockers.
The States - Round Up
And another great round up from Kara Dansky including a case about the social transitioning of children at school and whether the parents are informed which is headed for the Supreme Court.
Australia - Round Up
Another great round up of news this time from Jenny Nabben on The Glinner Update including an important case against the awful Australian e-Safety Commissioner, Julie Inman Grant:
The Gender Wars Down Under
A win against the eSafety commissioner. Queer theory in schools. The schools to clinic pipeline. State sanctioned sexual abuse in Victorian prisons. The Lesbian Action Group in Court.
Feb 22, 2026
Gender identity ideology has been imposed on an unsuspecting Australian public and is now deeply embedded into law, policy, education, politics and healthcare. This is a top-down effort by politicians and a bureaucratic elite that uses legal and quasi-legal institutions and quangos to silence, misdirect and deny what’s really happening in Australia.
Below are the latest stories from Australian women fighting for free speech, women’s rights and child safeguarding in schools.
Celine Against the eSafety Machine
Celine Baumgarten wins her case against e-Safety Commissioner, Julie Inman Grant
In 2024 Celine Baumgarten, a young single mum from Western Sydney criticised a Victorian primary school for holding a “Queer Club” for children aged 8–12 who identified as LGBTQi+. Baumgarten’s X post questioned the appropriateness of teaching “queer theory” at school and in particular to primary school children.
While Baumgarten’s post did not meet the legal definition of cyber abuse, the eSafety commissioner issued an “informal notice” to X resulting in the post being geoblocked in Australia. With the help of the Free Speech Union, Baumgarten appealed to the Victorian Administrative Review Tribunal (ART) where she won her case after the ART ruled “informal notices” were unlawful.
The eSafety commission then appealed the ART decision to the Federal Court of Australia arguing that the ART lacked jurisdiction to review the matter.
The appeal was heard by the Full Bench of the Federal Court that ruled the informal “complaint alert” amounted to a removal notice (because it amounted to X blocking the post) and was therefore reviewable by the ART.
The Federal Court ruling prevents the eSafety commissioner from bypassing statutory safeguards including transparency, appeal rights, and due process by labelling the action “informal.”
This is an embarrassing loss for a commissioner who has tried on several other occasions to shut down those who challenge gender identity ideology by censoring speech and framing dissent as “discrimination” “harm” and “hate.”

New Zealand - International Willy Day!
Our friend, Katrina Biggs on her substack, A B’Old Woman reports that the Auckland Government Women’s Network are turning International Women’s Day on 06 March into International Willy Day! Their motto for the day is ‘Give To Gain’.
Let me think about that.
That would be Give…up all your rights
To Gain…..being treated like a doormat.
A man called Mary is keynote speaker at an NZ event for International Women’s Day
Strangely, out of the approx. two million adult women in NZ, there seemed to be a shortage to take this paid gig.
Feb 22, 2026
The popularity of trans ideology might be on a rapid decline amongst the general public and school kids, but it’s still firmly entrenched in the hearts and minds of many in the public service, non-government organisations (NGOs), and long-established women’s groups. Trying to remove trans ideology from these organisations will be harder than getting a snake out of your bed.
And right on cue, the dolts at the Auckland Government Women’s Network are featuring a bloke in a frock as the keynote speaker at their International Women’s Day (IWD) event this year. Joining with them, in their simpering up to men who say they’re women, are the Auckland Transport Women’s Network, the Auckland Council’s Women’s Network, and the Public Service Association Women’s Network. Who’da thought there‘d be such a shortfall of inspiring women speakers, that they were reduced to getting a crossdresser.
It makes a joke out of this year’s global IWD theme of “Give to Gain”, because what do women and girls gain out of giving their hard-won wins to crossdressers? There is no ’gain’ whatsoever for women and girls in giving anything to these men. Zero, zilch. If you can think of something meaningful we get out of this transaction, apart from the warm fuzzies of righteousness which some women (and men) thrive on, let me know.
In fact, we get less than nothing. We only get disadvantaged in our spaces and sports, and lose speaking spots to these men, which can be a lucrative earner.
The keynote speaker at the IWD event, hosted by Auckland Government Women’s Network, is a man who goes by the name of Mary Haddock‑Staniland. ‘Mary’ is a longtime crossdresser, which he’s made work very well for himself. As Yvonne van Dongen reveals in her column, he’s also a (tedious?) self-confessed limelight hog, has been convicted of credit card fraud, and stalked newsreader Simon Dallow. It’s hard to imagine any woman with a similar past being given a keynote speaking gig at an IWD event. Can you? Unless it was all about her redemption.
Oh, and according to a Woman’s Day story, ‘Mary’ has a willy.

Gay Marriage
Some people say that the legalisation of gay marriage was a slippery slope towards ‘gender’ sneaking into laws and policies. In a very interesting discussion, Arianne of LGB Alliance USA discusses this. My take on this is:
Once gay marriage was achieved, the gay rights movement in the USA, the UK and elsewhere had achieved their main aims. What would they do with all the funds they had? Some of them, such as Stonewall in the UK, pivoted to ‘trans rights’ ( which, on analysis, involves throwing gays, lesbians and bisexuals under the bus!).
The T and the Q had been infiltrating the law well before gay marriage was achieved as Arianne points out. See the Gender Recognition Act 2004 in the UK.
All thoughts gratefully received.

Louise updates us on her substack about the highly trained complaints team:
When the Police Don’t Even Know the Law
Update on My Complaint
Feb 17, 2026
I had a call today with a woman from West Yorkshire Police complaints team. It was a chat to go over the wording of my formal complaint before it goes to a reviewing officer and then gets passed to a proper handler.
…………………
We talked through the main points. At the end I said the whole thing shows a clear pattern: discrimination because of my gender critical beliefs (which are protected under the Equality Act 2010), victim blaming, several data breaches, and the damage it has done – complex PTSD, my music career and earnings ruined, newspaper headlines that humiliated me, and zero trust left in the police.
She said right away: “Gender critical beliefs are not protected under the Equality Act.”
I couldn’t believe what I was hearing. I told her yes they are, it’s the law. I brought up the Forstater case and the Supreme Court ruling which said “sex” in the Equality Act means biological sex, not gender identity.
She asked where I was getting that from, as if I’d just made it all up. She looked at her screen and said it was not appearing in her guidance. “According to what I have got here, that is not the case. But I will make sure your point is included in the complaint.”
I had to explain real UK law to someone who deals with police complaints for a living. But she was going by some internal notes that act like it does not exist or ignore it. It’s ridiculous.
That conversation sums up why the system feels so broken and why so many of us get treated badly and I’m tired of having to keep proving the same basic facts again and again.
The complaint is moving on now with my points included. My understanding is that these things take months to look into (sometimes a lot longer), so I will post an update when anything happens.

The Silence Of The Lambs
I recently covered Ed Levine, who played Buffalo Bill in Silence of the Lambs apologising to the ‘trans lobby’ for the portrayal!! See: https://dustymasterson.substack.com/p/the-silence-of-the-trans
Kat Highsmith on her substack also covers this issue.
Was The Silence of the Lambs a Documentary?
But Buffalo Bill Is Less Crazy and Annoying Than Dylan Mulvaney
Feb 21, 2026
Several insane things have transpired recently on Planet Trans, which is nothing new because this entire fraud is insane, but let’s review a few things that stand out.
Two shooting sprees by cross-dressing men occurred, first by 18-year-old Jesse Strang in Canada and then 56-year-old Robert Dorgan in the United States, resulting in multiple deaths and injuries. As more detail emerges, it affirms they exhibited the requisite mental instability, narcissism, and fetishistic obsession by males who insist on publicly displaying their perversions.
In addition to that, right around the time of Jesse Strang’s mass slaughter, actor Ted Levine apologized for his portrayal of Jame “Buffalo Bill” Gumb, the famous serial killer character in the blockbuster 1991 film The Silence of the Lambs.
The timing was, as they say, impeccable, though Buffalo Bill had the gentlemanly common sense not to just pick up a gun and murder his family or anyone he could find like Jesse and Robert did.
Instead, Buffalo Bill actually planned, kidnapped, and kept his captives alive before snuffing them out. How many troons nowadays actually have the wherewithal to even attempt let alone accomplish such a complex task with video games, internet pornography, Reddit, and anime hogging all their time? Practically none. Men today are too lazy, and this category includes the females on testosterone like Audrey Hale.
Here’s what Ted the Troon Defender had to say.

Terf Island Discs
Thanks to all readers ( and me 😀) who have made suggestions and we still have lots of songs to go that will take us well into 2026. It’s been great (I think anyway 😊).
We will then be reverting to Endpieces.
Endpieces, as regular readers will know, consisted of comic pieces, animal videos, songs etc to provide a bit of relief after some of the horror stories we detail on this substack. Endpieces was run by Tenaciously Terfin, Liz Parker and myself and we are delighted to now have been joined by Becca Shambles, Petal and Jeremy Wickins. Please let us know if you want to join the Endpieces Club 😊
I have an Endpieces folder so Endpieces suggestions can be sent to me at any time from now even though Terf Island Discs will be continuing for the moment as explained above 😊
Onwards with Terf Island Discs.
Next up!

Dear readers
A heads up that Mr Menno is discussing Dr Cass and the clinical trial tonight at 21.00 GMT.
Hope to see some of you in the chat 😊
Dusty
Very troubling report from Louise Distras. Someone needs to look into that police complaints guidance urgently, and all other police guidance. I’d love to know who wrote it!
