Great piece from Sex Not Gender Identity on the Pathways Trial.

It's obvious why they have taken this approach and it is steeped not just in ideology but in gearing the trial to a positive outcome. If they stuck to Cass' criteria for significant lifelong distress they would be lucky to find a dozen test patients.

For me one of the biggest red flags of the test process is the lack of any robust cognitive development tracking. Looking at these kids in the States who's puberty was blocked at Tanner Stage 2 (10-12 years old) rather than say 15 to 16 years old. They seem in a constant infantile state, they're like drug induced Peter Pans, who never grew up cognitively.

These kids will have to carry the impact and effects of these drugs for the rest of their lives. They will have to function as adults in the world and to do so they will need to think and reason as an adult. Just looking prettier for a few years isn't going to cut it.

Hi Amanda

Yes that is an excellent piece. The effects on cognitive development are totally shocking.

Cass clearly believes in the 'trans child'!!!!

Petal's avatar

Am I the only one that is totally f*cked off with cass ?

Bought and sold 🤬

Dusty Masterson's avatar

No you are in good company, Petal

See below for example

Hear hear. Pity Cass goes along with the trial though. She could have objected to it. I’ll never forgive her for that.

Amanda Grimes's avatar

Yes she should have recognised that any trial which had robust enough controls would produce a woefully small sample size so as to render any trial results worthless.

That aside there are NO circumstances in which a child under 15-16 is capable of giving even remotely informed consent to taking part in this farce of a trial.

Thinking about what TT said, I do wonder how much actual empathy of any sort is really going on. In a lot of cases could it be something more like performative sympathy, do you think?

Dusty Masterson's avatar

Good point, Becca. I'm all for empathy when combined with objectivity ie. you don't just do what the child/client/patient says they want

Dusty

Tenaciously Terfin's avatar

Completely agree. It’s much more to do with signalling to the morally superior ‘be kind’ tribe that you are one of the nice people rather than those awful right wing bigots. That’s why I say that there’s been decades long, gradual indoctrination into thinking that way. Why on earth should it be regarded as evil to want to control borders in order to protect the people already living there. The Labour Party I joined in the late 70s sounded just like Reform today. It understood that the poorest suffered the most from mass immigration . It was regarded as a right wing capitalist enterprise. The Fabian/ Frankfurt School plot is to destroy western democracies by creating chaos as a Trojan Horse in order to bring in ever more state control. What they want is a world communist state.

Dusty Masterson's avatar

It's still shocking to see how successful they have been.

Dusty

Becca Shambles's avatar

Feels very David and Goliath when you put it like that, TT! I only hope more people find the courage to speak, and soon!!

Amanda Grimes's avatar

What they want is a worldwide Soviet Style State. From the mid 90's the Labour party was infiltrated and over run by a bunch of upper middle class champagne faux socialists. Seriously Michael Foot was probably the last real socialist to be in the upper echelons of the party.

Any talk of support from this lot is just lip service. Tell them were going to bring in outside workers to undercut the current workforce and they'll scream Scab! Tell them these incoming cheaper workers are brown and suddenly objecting to them is evil.

Dusty Masterson's avatar

Sounds about right, Amanda

Tenaciously Terfin's avatar

Exactly

Petal's avatar

They’re all going to be getting into a lather about moonface and the faraway tree shortly

Dusty Masterson's avatar

Is The Magic Faraway Tree film good, Petal in which case I'll add it to the film list?

Petal's avatar

O I don’t know , I was just shooting my gob off - is there a fillum ?

Dusty Masterson's avatar

Yes but it's this year so I'm a bit worried whether it might be woo woo - I haven't seen it. However I've looked at reviews which seem ok so I think I'll put it on the list!

Dusty

I loved Enid Blyton , even though she was so very very English , it didn’t matter then , god I’m old

Dusty Masterson's avatar

But did you like Just William!!?? 😂

Petal's avatar

No he was a prick

As I’ve said before , I’ve spent a good portion of my life in England

Early years in Mansfield woodhouse , early teenage years in edwinstowe ( farewell major oak ) and first proper job in Lincoln , lived just down from the cathedral

And the quick answer is no 😂

Petal's avatar

O I was shutting up cos yes are all dead sensible

But then I found this

Thanks, Petal

Sensible? Have you seen the Noddy and Big Ears discussion.

Oh ffs George now Bill and 'trans'???

Actually, Enid Blyton was pretty racist and jew-hating in her books, if we're gonna be serious about this ... so much so, that I thought the wokists would've cancelled rather than 'appropriated' her writings. Any excuse to stick in a 'trans', I suppose. But check out how a nasty jewish foreigner is chased away by the Famous Five ... (let alone her Noddy & Big Ears which has Golly being the naughtiest, obvs).

I do remember watching Five Run Away Together or whatever the tv series was called - with French and Saunders and others lampooning the 'Famous Five'. (I think Dawn French has gone woke since though hasnt she?... or do I mean jew-hating?... or just ignorant cos she only reads the Guardian and watches BBC? Shame.)

Dusty Masterson's avatar

I'm not a Blyton expert, Moodie. I was reading Just William 😀

But transing Malory Towers takes the biscuit!!!!!!!

Dusty

Moodieonroody's avatar

Slightly off-topic but my cousin's son is graduating - at the ceremony they won't wear mortar boards ... for fear one might poke someone's eye out! Talk about clown world .....

Dusty Masterson's avatar

How ridiculous!!!

Moodieonroody's avatar

ooh I love Just William … specially with Martin Jarvis reading it.

Dusty Masterson's avatar

I’ll thkweem and I’ll thkweem and I’ll thkweem!!😀

Moodieonroody's avatar

poor Rachel!

Dusty Masterson's avatar

You mean Violet Elizabeth Bott, one of the most famous lisping girls ever 😊

Moodieonroody's avatar

I mean Rachel Reeves, one of the most famous complainers haha

Amanda Grimes's avatar

Noddy and Big Ears got a pass as they look like a gay couple. 😂

Dusty Masterson's avatar

Can’t resist it…

Why have the Elephants got Big Ears?

Noddy can’t pay the ransom

Dusty Masterson's avatar

I’ve found my level 😀

Amanda Grimes's avatar

Dad jokes! That's all we need 😂

Dusty Masterson's avatar

They are now Grandad jokes !!

Moodieonroody's avatar

There's a Grandad joke in Master & Commander - something about the lesser of two weevils (groan)

Dusty Masterson's avatar

I usually hate ads but years ago Dulux did one where Noddy and Big Ears have a violent argument about decorating the house and get carted off in a Black Mariah. The final line is something like’oh dear, it wasn’t such a good day after all’ 😀
