I don’t really know what to say about what’s happening in Ireland. It’s completely bonkers. What do they think they are gaining by pushing such ill thought through nonsense?
Your phrase at the top “no one can hear you scream” is perfect. It’s how we’re all feeling. No matter how much evidence of harm or unintended consequences is presented to the people in power, apart from a few exceptions, they ignore it. We really are screaming into the void….. although it does seem that the silent majority is beginning to wake up. The WRN street events seem to show that.
The trouble in Ireland is that the media apart from good old Gript are totally captured and pedalling misinformation ( saying that the Constitution says that women should stay at home which is NOT what it says) and the organisations fighting against it like the Countess, Not All Gays and Free Speech Ireland are very underfunded and small. I'll have to call on my Irish Mum to have a word with St Patrick 😊
Yes I thought my opening phrase was just right (for a change 😊). As you say it is about alerting ordinary people to this though it is dispiriting when you do that, as I have done, and it seems they are still going to vote for Labour!! I wonder how Party of Women would have done in Rochdale if they had managed to get a candidate there in time?
Yes, they seem to be fighting a losing battle and as usual the question is, why are so many people in positions of power, including the media, so captured?
I’m not sure that the PoW would have got very far due to a certain demographic…..
We’re having a Christmas dinner complete with bread sauce and cranberry!
No, maybe two bargepoles, and later than publishing this one I watched an EDI Jester where he revealed that Mr Streeting doesn't know what a woman is!! So he turns out to be just as hopeless as the rest of them ( with a very few exceptions especially our Rosie)
You are probably right about PoW though it occurred to me that a lot of that demographic don't like gender ideology very much ( remember the B'ham case - which the media spun incorrectly as about homophobia when , in fact, it was the beginning of No Outsiders and Mr Moffat).
A Christmas dinner! I'm envious. Hope it goes well 😊
Thanks as ever Dusty.

Hope my roasties are as good as yours today 😁
Thanks TT.

Best of luck with the roasties 😊

Forgot to add, still wouldn’t touch Labour with a barge pole.

I enjoyed learning about Rosa Bonheur - what a great artist! Thank you!
You're welcome, Sarah. She's great, isn't she. I like her going to the horse fairs to do sketches dressed as a man so she wouldn't be harassed 😊
Dusty
Yes, and interesting that she had to get permission to do so.
and understandably keeping her private life to herself ( at that time).
It did occur to me that, if she was a child now, what might have happened to her!!!
