Interesting idea from James Esses but I think you’re on the right track Dusty. Cultural Marxism is at the root of all of it, including Queer Theory, gender ideology and DEI. The victim mentality, the raising up of minorities to sacred status and the disparaging and blaming of the majority, all stems from Marxism. The ‘inventors’ of queer theory were all Marxists and they saw queer theory as a way of destroying society from within by destroying all boundaries and binaries using the victim/oppressor narrarative. Even people with fetishes should not be blamed or vilified, anything goes. The ideology has permeated education and the media for so long now that everyone thinks they have to be some kind of a victim in order to be valued. No one wants to be in the so called oppressor group.

It suggests an external vector that makes the person affected not responsible for their thoughts and actions. (It doesn't help that I don't like or trust Mr Esses, so I'll see what his argument actually is before saying anything else.)

It's not his theory, nor what he's doing, most of which is great. I can't put my finger on why I don't entirely click with him, but it's been there since he first started his tribunal process. On paper, I should be a big supporter, but something raises my mistrust every time.
The fact that AAP and the Endocrine Society refused to participate in the peer reviw process speaks volumes. When you've been insisting something is evidence based for years, dodging the chance to actually prove it under federal scrutiny looks like an admission theyre not confident in thier own claims. The HHS report could be a turning point if it gets the attention it deserves.
