They have now published yet another vital bit of work as reported by Feminist Legal Clinic. It is ironic that such an important report should be released at the same time as the UK are starting the process of a clinical trial of puberty blockers! Please spread this information around as best as you can.

WASHINGTON, NOV. 19, 2025 — The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) today published Treatment for Pediatric Gender Dysphoria: Review of Evidence and Best Practices, its peer-reviewed study of the medical dangers posed to children from attempts to change their biological sex.

The report, released through the Office of the Assistant Secretary for Health, finds that the harms from sex-rejecting procedures — including puberty blockers, cross-sex hormones, and surgical operations — are significant, long term, and too often ignored or inadequately tracked. These conclusions confirm President Trump’s Make America Healthy Again Commission’s findings that unnecessary procedures and long-term health risks such as infertility are the byproduct of the overmedicalization of children.

Before submitting its report for peer review, HHS commissioned the most comprehensive study to date of the scientific evidence and clinical practices surrounding the treatment of children and adolescents for “gender dysphoria.” The authors were drawn from disciplines and professional backgrounds spanning medicine, bioethics, psychology, and philosophy.

HHS invited the American Academy of Pediatrics and the Endocrine Society to contribute their evidence to this report. Both organizations declined to participate.

Yesterday, the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services re-released its major report on the treatment of pediatric gender dysphoria after putting it through post-publication peer review. It emerged unscathed. For years, America’s leading medical associations have insisted that “gender-affirming care” for minors is grounded in a solid scientific foundation. This review process gave them a chance to prove it. Instead, what happened says more about the state of U.S. medical groups than anything we’ve seen in a long time.

HHS invited three organizations that have spent years insisting that “gender-affirming care” for minors is safe, effective, life-saving, and evidence-based: the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP), the American Psychiatric Association (APA), and the Endocrine Society. This was their chance to show the public the solid data behind those claims.

Two of the three didn’t bother. The AAP and the Endocrine Society simply refused to participate.

This is not like declining to join a combative panel discussion on cable news or a hostile podcast debate. This was an invitation to professionally participate in the scientific process at the highest level of federal policymaking, on an issue they claim to understand better than anyone else, and on which they have demanded public trust. If they were truly confident the evidence was on their side, this would have been the moment to demonstrate it. Instead, they walked away, representing an astonishing dereliction of responsibility.

The lone group that did participate—the APA—submitted a review so careless and superficial it’s hard to believe they read the report at all. The HHS authors’ reply reads like an adult patiently explaining basic concepts to a child, as they walked one of the nation’s largest medical organizations through the most elementary principles of evidence-based medicine.

Update for Attendees – Witness Statements Needed (21 November)

Dear all,

Thank you so much for your patience and support over the past weeks. As many of you know, these situations always take far longer to progress than they should, but we have now reached the stage where we are formalising a case against the Glasgow University Union (GUU) over the events of 9 August.

We have exhausted all first-stage options. We’ve written, we’ve challenged, and we’ve given GUU every opportunity to correct the record. They have not done so, and their solicitors are now misrepresenting what happened.

To move to the next step, we must present something substantial, and that means collecting witness statements from those who were there.

There are four separate formal and legal routes we are now preparing to pursue.

To advance any of these effectively, and to have the strongest chance of achieving justice, we need your help.

If you were present, please take a few minutes to complete the witness-statement form. Your testimony is incredibly important, and even a short account will make a real difference.

Victim Virus?

James Esses on his substack discusses the fact that, despite recent advances in the UK, many larping men’s activists are simply digging in. He suggests that this is because they have a victim virus ( and is working on a book on the subject!). While I think that some of our opponents are undoubtedly in poor mental health, I think many are ideologically driven whether by Queer Theory or Cultural Marxism ( or both). What do you think?

A New Diagnosis

The below is a speech that I delivered at a keynote session of the Battle of Ideas 2025. The session was entitled: ‘Will DEI ever DIE?’

Over recent months, the prevailing narrative has been that ‘woke is withering’ and ‘DEI is dying’. That we are through the worst of it and that all we need to do is wait for society to return to a state of equilibrium.

I disagree. I wish it were true that woke and DEI are on the cusp of extinction, but they aren’t.

This misguided notion is based on the narrative that these are simply political or social justice movements, or, alternatively, a set of ideological beliefs. Such movements and trends come and go, it is argued.

However, in my opinion, they embody something far more pervasive, contagious and intangible. They embody a new form of mental illness, and, as part of a book project I have in development, I have labelled this ‘The Victim Virus’.

A diagnosis of the Victim Virus is made up of a number of cognitive distortions and defence mechanisms.

Terf Island Discs

Thanks to an excellent suggestion from Tenaciously Terfin, we have paused Endpieces for the time being and we are giving Tenaciously and Liz a well earned rest from their hard work. So, since 07 July, we have been running Terf Island Discs.

We have decided to extend that one last time and then return to Endpieces.

Before we detail the extension, Endpieces, as regular readers will know, consisted of comic pieces, animal videos, songs etc to provide a bit of relief after some of the horror stories we detail on this substack.
