Airplane! Get a hold of yourself! Part 1.
Update 689. Police Gone Woo Special. #BeMorePorcupine.
The news and views are still pouring in to Dusty Towers so this is a two parter, dear readers. Part 1 deals with more excellent peices about Glinner’s arrest that we have been following over the last week. We especially look at how the Police in the UK have been totally captured by the Gender Woo and by Woke Ideology and how free speech is collapsing as a result.
We are continuing with Dusty’s film series and the latest version of the list is here:
https://dustymasterson.substack.com/p/empire-of-light-dustys-film-series
Please let us have your suggestions for films but please check the list first to see if it is there already. I am updating the list as we go along. We are going through them alphabetically and we had got to I but……… a wonderful reader has come in with a marvellous list of films several of which are before I in the alphabetical order…but (plot twist) another reader, Vivienne has nominated Airplane! (1981) so that’s up next 😊
Ex–fighter pilot Ted Striker is a traumatised war veteran turned taxi driver. Because of his pathological fear of flying and subsequent "drinking problem"—he splashes beverages anywhere but into his mouth—Ted has been unable to hold a responsible job. His wartime girlfriend, Elaine Dickinson, now a flight attendant, breaks off her relationship with him before boarding her rostered flight from Los Angeles to Chicago. Ted abandons his taxi and buys a ticket on the same flight to try to win her back. Once on board, however, Elaine continues to reject him, causing Ted to inadvertently drive several other passengers to suicide as he sadly reminisces.
After the in-flight meal is served, the entire flight crew and several passengers fall ill. Passenger Dr. Rumack discovers that the fish served during meal service has caused food poisoning. With the flight crew incapacitated, Elaine contacts the Chicago control tower for help and is instructed by tower supervisor Steve McCroskey to activate the plane's autopilot, a large inflatable dummy pilot dubbed "Otto", which will get them to Chicago, but cannot land the plane. Elaine and Rumack convince Ted to take the controls. And for the rest, you’ll just have to watch it if you haven’t done so already! Mind you, I’m not sure you should worry too much about the plot 😂
Robert Hays is Ted Striker
Julie Hagerty is Elaine Dickinson
Leslie Nielsen is Dr. Rumack
Robert Stack is Captain Rex Kramer
Lloyd Bridges is Steve McCroskey
Thanks to three wonderful readers for suggested pieces.

Glinner’s Arrest
EDI Jester discusses how out of control the police are and emphasises the attack on free speech referring to a Telegraph article which uses a phrase that my wife has been using for a while with regard to the UK, anarcho-tyranny!
As an aside I do not agree that the Human Rights Act needs repeal but rather that it needs amendment. It is Stonewall’s misrepresentation of the Equality Act and the existence of hate speech laws that has caused the Police to act as they do.
I note that the Metropolitan Police Commissioner, Mark Rowley said they had to follow the legislation but strangely that does not lead to them concentrating on the many, many unsolved cases of shoplifting, burglary and knife crime!!?? Malcolm Clark explains how the Police were captured by Stonewall in their Diversity Champions scheme as long ago as 2008 , well before Stonewall decided to ditch the LGB in favour of the T and the Q.
How the Trans Lobby Captured the Cops.
Graham Linehan's arrest last week represents the culmination of almost two decades of subversion of British police first by the gay lobby and then its more violent successor the LGBTQ+ mafia.
Sep 08, 2025
The arrest of Graham Linehan for the crime of tweeting has rightly provoked near-universal outrage.
Last Monday the Father Ted writer was detained by five (yes five…) armed police officers as he stepped on to the tarmac at Heathrow Airport where he had arrived from the United States. He was told that three gender-critical tweets from April were being investigated on suspicion of ‘inciting violence’. They weren’t of course. But you knew that.
Leading Labour figures have tried rather uconvincingly to echo the anxiety and disgust provoked by Graham’s arrest. Keir Starmer issued a statement saying policing social media should not be a ‘priority’ for the Metropolitan Police. It’s hard to know whether this bore the fingerprints of his new comms chief: Blair veteran Tim Allan…who resigned as a trustee of gender critical campaign group Sex Matters just three days before taking up his new role.
Either way, Allan’s appointment triggered an anxious letter to Starmer from an organisation we’re going to discuss a lot in this article.
Wes Streeting responded at first by insisting he wanted to see coppers “policing streets not just policing tweets” which is hardly a robust defence of free speech since it suggests tweets should continue to be policed as long as the Old Bill gets round to doing some real crime fighting too.
He -or his spinmeisters- later amped up his comment by removing the just in “just policing tweets”. It's understandable that Labour figures sound less than sure-footed on the subject of unfair policing. That’s because the arrest of Linehan is the culmination of a process of subversion of the British police which was set in motion in the dog days of the last Labour government.
This process aimed to turn the police into the armed wing of the very organization Wes Streeting used to work for: Stonewall.

Glinner’s arrest has brought into sharp focus the presence of a ‘trans mafia’ who relentlessly target leading Terfs and also target the Police if they fail to take action against these Terfs. Helen Joyce explains how she too has been targeted by the notorious Lynsay Watson who was instrumental in Glinner’s arrest.
Being targeted by Lynsay Watson
The disgraced trans-identifying ex-cop weaponising the justice system
Sep 09, 2025
This is a short post to explain why it’s a short post — the answer being because when Graham Linehan was arrested on the tarmac at Heathrow last week for three tweets, I was immediately pretty sure who was behind it. And my suspicions were confirmed in open court — the report about Graham’s supposedly criminal tweets was made by a disgraced former police officer and trans-identifying man called Lynsay Watson, who ever since he was sacked by Leicestershire Police in 2023 for gross misconduct has made what appears to be a full-time job out of putting in false crime reports against gender-critical campaigners, and seeking to judicially review any police force that declines to take them seriously.
A lot has come out about Watson in the press since Graham’s arrest, and I talked to various journalists about it. Craig Simpson of the Telegraph has been particularly good.
As you can tell from this, I’ve been immensely frustrated by the way the police have allowed themselves to be weaponised by this deranged, obsessive, anger-filled man. This has been going on for ages. Watson started posting on X and Bluesky he had reported me to the police last November — for sexual assault/harassment against a trans woman. But I never heard anything from the police until I received the paperwork for the response to an application for judicial review he had filed against my home police because they had failed to prosecute me.
Reading through the paperwork, it was clear that the investigating officer had quickly decided that the threshold for a crime wasn’t met. But that decision was reviewed, and the investigation was reopened on the order of a senior officer — with the recommendation to consider recording a non-crime hate incident (NCHI). I could see that it had indeed been reopened, and quickly re-closed, but not whether the NCHI had indeed been recorded. So I put in a subject access request (SAR).
And two weeks ago I discovered something almost unbelievable: that not an NCHI but an actual crime — criminal harassment — had been recorded against my name.

EDI Jester reports on the College of Policing including in their guidance with regard to ‘female genital mutilation’ that larping men can be victims of this!!!
Wings Over Scotland identifies both Lynsay Watson and the equally notorious Stephanie Hayden as being present at Glinner’s Magistrates’ Court hearing and gives us some of the convoluted history of Mr Hayden ( great heading!!):
The Incredible Sulk49
Posted on September 08, 2025 by Rev. Stuart Campbell
Last week we introduced readers to Sophia “Tarquin” Brooks, the 18-year-old boy [ Dusty - it seems to me that he cannot possibly be 18 since he has been harassing Kellie-Jay for years!!] who Graham Linehan is currently on trial for supposedly “assaulting”, and in particular his connection to disgraced former policeman and serial harasser Lynsay Watson.
(From reporting of the proceedings at Westminster Magistrates Court, it sounds very much like Watson has been directing and influencing Tarquin’s complaints to the police – which had originally been dismissed as baseless – and was largely responsible for the matter getting to trial.)
But Watson isn’t the only middle-aged trans-identifying man with whom “Tarquin” has a seemingly close relationship when it comes to the relentless, vindictive persecution of people who believe in biological sex.
We think (but haven’t been able to verify) that that’s Watson on the left of the thumbnail of the above video, in the facemask and with a brown bag amid extraordinary scenes as Tarquin left the court after giving his evidence.
But the burly, blond bespectacled man at the centre of it, who appears to be acting as some sort of official representative for “Tarquin”, is Stephanie Hayden – born Anthony Halliday, who changed his name in 2005 to Steven Hayden shortly after being released from the Sex Offenders Register (more on that below) before obtaining a GRC in the name of “Stephanie” in 2017.
Hayden is a convicted paedophile and self-described lawyer who, like Lynsay Watson, dedicates his entire life to the persecution of gender-critical campaigners.
And as remarkable as it might seem to anyone who read our previous piece, Hayden may be the more toxic of the two.

William A Ferguson on his substack reports that Glinner is apparently applying for asylum in the States!!!!
Magnificent Bastard And "Father Ted" Creator Graham Linehan Goes To Yanktown
The UK's Loss Is Our Gain As He Seeks Political Asylum In The United States
Sep 08, 2025
Graham Linehan, the Irish comedy writer known for creating Father Ted, The IT Crowd, and Black Books, has reportedly sought asylum in the United States as a "free speech refugee" following his spectacularly publicized awful arrest at Heathrow Airport on September 1, 2025. The arrest stemmed from three posts he made on X in April, where he expressed his views on transgender issues, specifically challenging the presence of "trans-identified males" in female-only spaces.
One post, quoted in multiple sources, read: “If a trans-identified male is in a female-only space, he is committing a violent, abusive act. Make a scene, call the cops and if all else fails, punch him in the balls.” This led to his detention by five armed police officers on suspicion of inciting violence, sparking a broader debate about free speech in the UK.
”Sparking a debate” is an understatement as Linehan, that magnificent bastard, has managed to shame the UK so hard the Prime Minister is yelling at Scotland Yard about “police the streets, not the Tweets” [ Dusty - it was actually the Health Secretary, Wes Streeting who said this] while the Chief Constable of said Yard is begging Parliament to change the law, even offering suggestions to Parliament as to what laws should be changed.
Linehan detailed the incident in a Substack article titled “I just got arrested again,” published on September 2, 2025, claiming the UK has become a “police state run by trans activists.” He described being escorted off a flight from Arizona, questioned, and hospitalized due to high blood pressure during the ordeal.
Released on bail with a condition not to post on X, Linehan argued the arrest was a “legal gag order” to silence him (though his barristers over at The Free Speech Union have successfully argued to have this restriction overturned). The incident drew significant attention, with figures like JK Rowling calling it “totalitarianism” and Conservative leader Kemi Badenoch criticizing it as “thought-policing in the UK”
Rowling and Badenoch, indeed the free world in which we love and cherish free speech are, of course, correct; this is a totalitarian, heavy-handed move on the part of Scotland Yard doing the bidding of trans activists.

Excellent interview with Glinner by Megyn Kelly:
We reported recently on the victory by Linzi Smith against Northumbria Police where it was concluded that they should not be participating in Pride. The same should apply to the Gender Wars - it is not for them to take one side or the other:
https://dustymasterson.substack.com/p/without-fear-or-favour
Dusty - Close down the College of Policing. Sack some senior officers. Get rid of hate speech. Uphold free speech. Get Stonewall and other lobby groups out of the Police. Police out of political matters. All thoughts gratefully received.
My wife informs me that Glinner’s ‘punch him in the balls’ tweet has now had 2.1 million views!! There is a God…and She is a Terf 😊
Terf Island Discs
Thanks to an excellent suggestion from Tenaciously Terfin, we have paused Endpieces for the time being and we are giving Tenaciously and Liz a well earned rest from their hard work. So , since 07 July, we have been running Terf Island Discs.
Several readers have chosen up to 4 songs or pieces of music each and we are going through those one at a time in each update. This is going so well that I am going to continue it a bit further and you can now choose up to 6 songs or pieces of music each. They need to be reasonably short. We can’t expect to have readers listening to the whole of Tchaikovsky's piano concerto in B flat minor, albeit it is magnificent.
They don’t have to be from Terf Island BTW - anywhere in the world 😊
Please send links as well if you can.
So for those who have already chosen 4, please choose 2 more and, if you have not yet taken part, please choose 6!! If you repeat a song or piece of music that has already been chosen, I’ll let you know and you can choose another one. Please let me know your choices in the comments at this link:

Couldn’t agree more Dusty on closing down the College of Policing - we went to Andrew Doyle’s FSU event for his ‘The End Of Woke’ book launch; he also discusses this a lot. Most of us would welcome that…
Close down the College of Policing I hear you say?
‘Surely you can’t be serious?’
‘I am serious and don’t call me Shirley!’
Have watched Airplane too many times to remember - genius!
Close down the College of Policing? Are you mad?
No, we’ll keep the policies, we’ll just change the name.
Oh, like the companies who called the policy ‘wellbeing & advancement’ instead of EDI?
Yes. You’re learning, my lad.
(Aside) looks like I picked the wrong day to give up glue-sniffing
