Karen's post is intriguing. From what I've read about Epstein (mainly from Malcolm Clark), he was probably bisexual. He was also very keen to make his clients' wishes come true. It wouldn't surprise me at all to find that he had... helped... some young gay men to, errr, be their true selves(TM).

Prisoners is a cracking film. The snakes scene gives me the heebie jeebies!!!!! He keeps opening the boxes. I would have been out of the room after the first box!!!!!!! And the snake man...is NOT the kidnapper dun dun dun....

So many lovely things that are being blocked because of the need to fight for that which shouldn't need fighting for. That isn't intended to demean what you are doing, of course - I think your posts are a valuable ongoing resource, and that historians will be delighted with them - but I'd love to be just chatting about reminiscences and art with you (and the others regulars). My next Stack, due in a few days (if I ever stop editing it) is absolutely and pointedly nothing to do with anything serious!
