As you know, my theme for update 200 was the endurance we have to possess in order to wade our way through the gender madness and I would actually now add to that perseverance. I had two films rattling around in my head on that subject. I plumped for Touching The Void but I could have equally plumped for The Shawshank Redemption.
The Shawshank Redemption is a 1994 American prison drama written and directed by Frank Darabont, based on the 1982 Stephen King novella. The film tells the story of banker Andy Dufresne (Tim Robbins), who is sentenced to life in Shawshank State Penitentiary for the murders of his wife and her lover, despite his claims of innocence. Over the following two decades, he befriends a fellow prisoner, contraband smuggler Ellis "Red" Redding (Morgan Freeman), and becomes instrumental in a money laundering operation led by the prison warden Samuel Norton (Bob Gunton).
And as to what happens next and why this is such a great example of endurance and perseverance, you’ll just have to watch it if you haven’t already done so. 😎
OK, let’s get down to business but, firstly, I have been saved from doing three reports I had planned for tonight by JL’s Week in the War on Women today covering all three comprehensively. Thanks, JL.
These involved:
Joanna Cherry KC’s speech at The Stand in Edinburgh;
The cancellation of a regular lesbian speed dating event ( also dealt with on Andrew Doyle’s Free Speech Nation last night);
A trans identifying male in a women’s prison in Spain getting a female prisoner pregnant.
I was pleased to see that I had already covered three of the other stories 😇
Teresa Steele, the lady whose surgery was cancelled when she asked for same sex care;
The conviction in Mexico of Rodrigo Cortés for ( wait for it) gender based violence and digital violence for pointing out that a Congress Woman was actually a man;
The latest woo woo NHS guidance.
And, sorry, I can’t resist re-posting the image of Warrant Officer Penny. Someone in the Comments said it was like a re-run of the Les Dawson Show 😎 It looks like the (real) woman officer to the left of Mr Penny is trying not to laugh!
Anyway here is JL:

Single Sex Toilets Consultation
The consultation paper has now been produced by the Department for Levelling Up, Housing and Communities and we have until 08 October to put in our responses. I will circulate mine once I have put it together. Please try and get a response in.
Good News From The States
John Hannah in The Associated Press (More states expect schools to keep trans girls off girls teams as K-12 classes resume 14 August) reports:
As children across the U.S. head back to classes and practices for fall sports, four more states are expecting their K-12 schools to keep transgender girls off their girls teams.
Kansas, North Dakota and Wyoming had new laws in place restricting transgender athletes before classes resumed, and a Missouri law takes effect at the end of this month, bringing the number of States with restrictions to 23.
North Carolina could enact a ban later this month, and Ohio could follow in the fall. A few laws, including ones in Arizona and West Virginia, are on hold because of federal lawsuits.
This year's new restrictions are part of a larger wave of legislation across the U.S. against transgender rights. Republican legislators in some states have banned gender-affirming care for minors, restricted transgender people’s use of school and public restrooms, limited what public schools can teach about gender and sexuality and barred schools from requiring the use of a transgender student's preferred pronouns.
Come on, UK Government, can we see some action like this from you!!

EDI Jester saved me from writing about this brave young de-transitioner (who has written an excellent piece for Mail Online) by doing one of his premiere videos ( with live chat!) on the subject.
The full article is here and I urge you to read it:
Barry’s video is in two parts due to a technical hitch near the end of recording:

In the process of looking at this I stumbled upon an excellent podcast by a young female de-transitioner called Marcus Dib aka ‘The Offensive Tranny.’ She does a great demolition job on Admiral Rachel Levine and Jeffrey Marsh:
Gender Recognition Act and the Equality Act
Following on from my discussion on this in yesterday’s post, my wife has drawn to my attention an argument advanced on Twitter by a woman called Luce:
You can’t protect sex while you also have a PC [ Dusty - protected characteristic ] that protects the right of individuals to falsify their sex. Gender ideology must be treated as a belief; that is what it is. The PC of GR must be removed. We can’t base legislation on a concept that remains undefinable/unscientific.
In other words, the idea here is that you should repeal the GRA (if I follow the logic correctly) because believing in gender ideology can be seen as a ‘belief’ and beliefs are protected under the Equality Act just as gender critical beliefs are protected ( see Maya Forstater’s case). An interesting idea! All thoughts gratefully received,

Thanks to Geobeats for introducing me to Edgar the Cockatoo:
I nearly wet my pants looking at’Penny’! I’m astonished that the army, of all organisations, falls for this anti-reality piffle. 😂🤣😂
Another comprehensive update on the madness of gender woo woo, Dusty. How do you find the time? Loved the cockatoo. 💜🤍💚
