Well, the film clip is not part of the Little Update of Horrors…in fact the film ultimately ends very happily…ermmm….times 6! However, I have added in some excellent news at the end before Endpieces.
As we move into 2025 I am featuring, to start with, and in alphabetical order, those Readers’ Choices for best film ever that did not make the top seven ( see Update 500 for the top seven).
Next up is The Miracle Of Morgan’s Creek (1944).
Trudy Kockenlocker is the daughter of the town constable of Morgan's Creek. Against her father's orders, she attends a wild farewell party for a group of soldiers at which she hits her head on a chandelier while dancing. The next morning, Trudy is in a daze and slowly begins to recall the previous night's events. She had married a soldier but cannot remember his name, except that "it had a z in it. Like Ratzkywatzky...or was it Zitzkywitzky?" She believes that she and the groom had used fake names, so she doesn't know how to get in touch with him and cannot remember what he looks like. She also does not have the marriage licence. Trudy further learns that she became pregnant that night as well. Norval Jones, a local boy who has been in love with Trudy for years, steps in to help out. And then it all gets very, very complicated!

Clinical Trials and the Cass Review.
As I recently reported, James Esses and Keira Bell are looking to take legal action regarding these proposed clinical trials.

My take on the Cass Review is that, having concluded that there is no evidence that puberty blockers help children with (so called) gender dysphoria and that, on the contrary, there is evidence that the drugs cause harm, the Review then does a U Turn by stating that there should be clinical trials. This U Turn is facilitated by Dr Cass ultimately believing that there is such a thing as a ‘trans child.’ But there is no such thing as a ‘trans child’ for the simple reason that you cannot ‘transition’ from being a boy to a girl or vice versa. The belief in "gender identity" has ballooned from a speculative psychiatric hypothesis of dubious grounding into a corrosive ideology that has infiltrated British society from Universities (who should have known better) to medicine, law, education, and culture, now packaged as part of the EDI/DEI scam still in full flow in the UK. All this and leaving a trail of irreversible harm, societal damage, and mass psychosis. But how did we get here, it is somewhat complicated to say the least.
Originating with Robert Stoller in the 1960s, this concept has been propelled by a cast of clinicians and so called “allies”, activist groups like Press for Change (founded by Stephen Whittle and Christine Burns), and figures like Susie Green of Mermaids, who infamously castrated her son.
Johns Hopkins University’s prescient withdrawal from such practices in the 1970s was predicated on the realisation that fetishistic desires were the drivers, the UK ploughed ahead, fuelled by the Beaumont Society, Stonewall’s betrayal of gays and lesbians, the LGBT Foundation’s medical pipeline, and schools "transing the gay away" under the ever expanding "LGBTQIA+" umbrella.
The UK have ignored mounting evidence of harm and malpractice, despite the work of many people, women predominantly, who have been pointing at this danger for decades. As Johns Hopkins shuttered its doors this historical retreat was a warning grounded in data and ethics; the UK’s failure to heed it decades later, unleashed a fetish driven cult ideology on its youth and society, one that stretches back over 80 years.
The evidence of damage is incontrovertible, sterilised youth, eroded women’s rights, the assault on gays and lesbians and a fetish driven distortion of reality. As the UK presses ahead with experimentation on children in 2025, we need an end to all medical interventions rooted in this baseless myth, for everyone, with no exceptions, and then you and I begin the mammoth task of the eradication of the cult and its fetid beliefs from across society, a task that will take at least a decade.
But who were the proponents of this cult, who led us down this road to hell, paved with their possibly good (Hanlon’s Razor), if insane intentions?
Well, let’s see if we can unravel it, for what follows is polemic, a narrative, a tale to be told, and as to its veracity I shall leave that to you, for in today’s world curiosity is king, and I hope this prompts you to look further, after all, I might just be as mad as a box of frogs.

Imagine your excitement; you and your partner have wanted to start a family for over 10 years. You began this journey as most couples do, by having unprotected sex. That didn’t work, and medical testing showed that it might never end with an actual baby, so you start to explore other avenues for creating your family. You read about surrogacy, but this is not for you and your partner because the ethical problems are insurmountable.
You know that adoption or fostering is something you can open your hearts to. You apply to an agency and are placed with a six month old baby who has been tragically removed from the care of his mother because of neglect due to intractable serious substance use.
Your best friend asks you if you plan to breastfeed your baby, and you are surprised because you have observed that breastfeeding follows birth for your friends, but you have never even been pregnant! Your body is not preparing for an upcoming birth, even if your mind is fully engaged in the process. You read this link, and realize that breastfeeding could work for you and your new baby too; how exciting is that?
Because you are the last in your friend group to become parents, you have watched all your friends breastfeed their babies and seen the intimacy that the breastfeeding relationship fosters. You decide to do everything you can to do this too, especially after reading that breastfeeding can help a traumatized child attach to a replacement mother.
You go along to a meeting of your local La Leche League group and while all the women there are welcoming and friendly, most of the discussion is not very useful for someone in your position who is inducing lactation without having had a baby. The Leader recommends you join the La Leche League International Facebook group for induced lactation/relactation, which you eagerly do.
Until you read a post from Sara and realize that the welfare of babies is not a motivating factor for everyone on this forum, and in fact, that not every “woman” in the group is a woman at all; some of the posters are men.

This week, City Journal broke the story of the National Security Agency’s secret sex chatroom, which was filled with salacious discussions of genital surgeries, trans fetishes, and sexual activities. The headlines rocketed through the national media and led to action by Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard, who, within days, released a memo demanding that the intelligence agencies identify the participants, terminate their employment, and remove their security clearances.
But according to our whistleblower, these sex chats were just the tip of the iceberg.

The following interview has been lightly edited for length and clarity.
Christopher Rufo: Tell me about this culture and how it’s been spreading through the NSA. And talk to me about what it was like, even a year ago or a few months ago, before Trump reentered the White House.
NSA Whistleblower: About ten years ago, they started doing the “employee resource groups”: African-American, veterans, Pride. It was just a meeting here and there, almost like a potluck—culture, food, a speech. Then it started to get more and more. Instead of just one day a month, it was one week a month, or the whole month. You could be hired as a mathematician, a staff officer, or system engineer, but you would spend your time going to these events and having meetings all day about it. They got themselves into position to help craft policy and started pushing the idea that if you want to get promoted, you have to participate in these events.
And then everything became Pride. You would go to a training, and it would be about “privilege” and “how to be a better ally.” A lady would give classes on how to talk “gender-neutral” to people. You had analysts that didn’t want to do the reporting they were supposed to be doing because they were going to have to report on somebody’s “dead name.” They were having this crisis of conscience about reporting the adversary’s actual name because they thought it was their “dead name,” and they didn’t want to disrespect the person. It was like a cult that was hellbent on pushing gender ideology.
Rufo: It seems like this is a clique of very activist male-to-female transgender agents. Tell me about this community.
Whistleblower: There is a very small number of them, but they wield an enormous amount of power. And outside of the sick stuff, you also see a prevalent Marxist philosophy going on with these people in their chat rooms. They hate capitalism. They hate Christians. They’re always espousing socialist and Marxist beliefs.

Apparently, in this jurisdiction, schools get to have at least as much influence in a child’s life as that child’s parents. The unintended consequence of policy like this is that more parents will consider pulling their children from public schools, which has its own long-term unintended consequences on both the children themselves and society as a whole.

Thanks Dusty, some great pieces, in particular the Jester and Lucy Leader. I really wish people would look into the background and development of gender ideology before suggesting that we should just be kind. I’m not going to be kind to lies, delusion, bullying and fetish. The young people caught up in it need help to escape the lies, not affirmation.
The Cass report has glaring loopholes which we all discussed when it came out. Now we see the results. To think she could have clearly and concisely knocked it all on the head but bottled it in order to ‘compromise’.
So glad for Linzi Smith but how disgusting to make her suffer for all that time.
