The Way Out Of This Mess Part 6.
So for the final part, and the final demolition of the tattered remnants of the trans rights arguments after the first five parts, and for the demolition of Pride while they’re at it, here are Julie Bindel and Douglas Murray interviewed on Spectator TV. Douglas describes what Dennis Kavanagh calls the pretend LGBT WTF LOL community as ‘the Clown Car’ much to the amusement of Julie 😂
I hope you have enjoyed this series which, I think, contains the roadmap for our way out of this mess. 😎
All thoughts gratefully received and please let us know which your favourite one was 😎
Stonewall Part 2
EDI Jester features Part 2 of the Daily Mail exposé on Stonewall. They just recently met with Keir Starmer and other senior Labour politicians. 41 Government Departments and 59 councils are Stonewall Diversity Champions. They are at the heart of the Welsh and Scottish Governments and in the Green Party. In 2021 they were given £2.1m (FFS!!) of public money! This is aside from what they make from the Champions Scheme and from donations.
Stonewall are a charity. A charity is ‘an institution which is established for charitable purposes only and falls to be subject to the control of the High Court in the exercise of its jurisdiction with respect to charities’ (Charities Act 2011, s 1). Is virtually writing the policies for government departments and political parties a ‘charitable purpose’?
The writer of the Daily Mail article describes Stonewall as a ‘Trojan Horse based on their earlier credibility’ ( i.e. the pre-2015 Stonewall). A very good description!
Sibyl Ruth
Sibyl is an editor and writer who worked for Cornerstone Literacy Consultancy. Suddenly the work coming through to her dried up. Free Speech Union advised her to do a ‘subject access request’ and she discovered that she had been frozen out due to her gender critical views (which she was expressing in her own time, of course). She has a tribunal hearing in September and it looks like a very strong Maya Forstater type case to me.
These cases are becoming increasingly important in our campaign. Maya’s case was followed in Allison Bailey v Garden Court Chambers and Denise Fahmy v The Arts Council.
Sibyl has a Crowd Justice page here: https://www.crowdjustice.com/donation/dP8xpGnrZrPwVnPpxwMyPpx6ygGz/
Here is her interview with Andrew Doyle on GB News:
Women’s Paralympics - Bad News
Jeremy Wilson in The Telegraph ( Paralympics chief calls on individual sports to decide transgender policies 17 July) reports:
Valentina Petrillo
The Paralympics remains open to transgender athletes competing in certain women’s events at next year’s Paris Games after joining the International Olympic Committee in ruling that individual sports should decide their eligibility criteria.
Italy’s Valentina Petrillo became the first openly transgender athlete to win a medal at a global Para athletics event last week in the women’s T12 400m and has also qualified for the final of the T12 200m, which will be staged in Paris on Monday afternoon.
Petrillo, 49, was born with a visual impairment and is eligible for the World Para Athletics competition under rules which allows transgender women to compete as long as they are legally recognised as a woman.
This differs significantly from most major sports governing bodies, which now either have specific guidelines with regard to testosterone limits or, as is now the case in international athletics, swimming and cycling, have banned transgender women from the women’s category completely if they have gone through male puberty.
To say this is disappointing is a total understatement. It is f*****g outrageous in the face of all the evidence that elite male athletes will beat elite female athletes. I often quote Dr Emma Hilton quoted in Kathleen Stock’s book Material Girls :
She notes that the women’s world record for 100m sprinting was broken by 744 senior males in 2017 alone (page 85).
For full details and full explanations, see Material Girls and also Trans by Helen Joyce. I know that Sharron Davies also has a book out though I haven’t yet got hold of that - got a bit of a backlog in the book department!!
Stop Press - Art Woo Woo
In Update 172 I talked about Tate Britain. Just come across Douglas Murray on Rattlesnake TV sending a broadside about the Art Woo Woo to Baron Ed Vaizey ( former Arts Minister). The bit about the Rex Whistler mural at Tate Britain is particularly powerful:
And finally…
Apparently EDI started a thread running on Twitter about rubbish TV shows you were ( or maybe still are!!) hooked on and he also featured this in this video where he is, as he sometimes is, beside himself. I admit to a previous addiction to CSI Miami - I’m over it now 😇
All your posts are entertaining as well as informative but my favourite of the series has got to be 172- Peterson/Doyle and the Bad Law Project.
Thanks Dusty, you deserve a 🏅for your hard work.
