England - The Hampstead Ladies’ Pond
We reported recently on Sex Matters being refused permission to proceed with their judicial review challenge to the City of London Corporation on procedural grounds here:
https://dustymasterson.substack.com/p/dark-star-let-there-be-light?utm_source=publication-search
We wait to see whether Sex Matters will appeal that decision or look for some other means of going forward eg. finding a woman swimmer ( or swimmers) who might take a case.
The day before that decision, the City of London released the results of their consultation, claiming that a majority of consultees favoured larping men using the ladies’ pond and vice versa with larping women. Sex Matters explain why the figures used seem to have been hijacked. I would add that, in any event, the law is the law. You don’t need a consultation on it!!
How the City of London allowed the consultation on the ponds to be hijacked
Feb 10, 2026
The day before the announcement of the permissions judgment in our case against the City of London over the Hampstead Ponds, the corporation rushed out the results of its consultation exercise, saying:
“A clear majority (86%) of respondents said the ponds should continue to operate as trans‑inclusive spaces, with trans men using the Men’s Pond and trans women using the Ladies’ Pond.”
The consultation was open online from 30th September to 25th November 2025. It received 38,742 responses: 31,296 claimed they swam in the ponds. This is an extraordinary number, which demands some reality checking.
For comparison, this survey got 35 times more responses than the City got in 2020/21 when it did a survey of swimmers’ experience of Covid adaptations. A link to that questionnaire was sent to nearly 11,000 people who had used the Eventbrite booking platform for the ponds. It got 1,108 responses. The same year the Kenwood Ladies’ Pond Association did a survey concerning the impact of changes in the charging policy at the ponds and 600 people responded. A survey of swimmers in 2021/22 got 2,079 responses.
At a meeting of the Hampstead Heath Consultative Committee on 13th January 2026, one of the members, Simon Hunt, commented on the large number of responses:
“I am not sure there are 40,000 people on the Heath who replied. I was a little concerned that the replies might reflect a population other than the ones who use the Heath… Who are these 40,000?”
Andrew Impey, the corporation’s deputy director of natural environment, admitted that the City of London had anticipated that the survey might be hijacked:
“We were probably expecting nearer 100,000.”
“We knew there was the potential for it to get hijacked… There will be some within those 40,000 who don’t know where Hampstead Heath is.”

Scotland - Men In Women’s Prisons
We reported on For Women Scotland having to take the Scottish Government back to court because they refuse to get men out of women’s prisons:
https://dustymasterson.substack.com/p/an-american-werewolf-in-london-remember
Wings Over Scotland looks at a letter from a woman about her relatives in prison and examines the insanity of the Scottish National Party continuing with this policy. People of Scotland, please get rid of them at the May election!!
A Dumber Nation
Posted on February 09, 2026
In politics, readers, evil and stupidity aren’t the same thing.
But nor are they exclusive.
Before we ask you to consider which of the terms applies to the Scottish Government led by John Swinney, we’d like you to read this letter sent to Wings by the auntie of two women imprisoned in Scottish jails.
“I have two nieces who have had to share prison space with men. I used to visit niece 1 in Saughton in Edinburgh and Greenock where men were housed, including Paris Green, Melissa Young and Alex Stewart. She got released in 2024 but then her sister (niece 2) was imprisoned and I would visit her in Polmont (Scotland closed Saughton for women and sent them all to Polmont in Falkirk although Alex remains in Greenock). She was released last week. Both nieces gave testimony to FWS in their current court case against Scot Gov.
The first time I visited my niece in Saughton in Edinburgh I was wearing my WOMEN DON’T HAVE PENISES sweater. I had no idea she was sharing the estate with men. My sweater was something I would wear around town on a daily basis. As I was in the waiting area with other visitors, a guard told me I would need to take my sweater off if I wanted to visit my niece.
I asked him where is the lie in stating women don’t have penises. He told me, ‘that’s a matter of opinion’. I turned to the room and asked, ‘hands up, all the women here who have penises’. They all laughed, but I still had to take my top off in order to go visit my niece. That’s when I realised she was sharing the estate with men.
She told me of Melissa Young. He has had the operation, but my niece said his room was always ‘stinking’. Presumably because of the vinegar douche he needs to use, and because of the fact that the intestine is used to replicate a vagina.
She also said that he made the female inmates perform humiliation rituals in order to access his codeine tablets. He would make one woman, Mary, suck on his breasts, and my niece said he would show people his ‘vagina’ at every opportunity. He also battered a woman, and it was the woman who got sent to a different prison so that he wouldn’t be inconvenienced.
Paris Green would walk around with stretchy leggings on, showcasing his penis. Both he and Melissa have been guilty of assaulting prison guards (Google it). Paris Green also entered niece 2’s cell and started stroking her hips. This was ten years ago (my nieces have had a very violent and abusive upbringing and have been in the system since the ages of 15).
Both of my nieces are caught in a cycle of poverty, crime and addiction. When this happened, years ago, it was the case that trans prisoners had to sit at the door of their cell. They were not allowed to mingle freely because the prison recognised that they were a risk. But when the ‘screw’ wasn’t looking, Paris made her way into my niece’s room and started stroking her.
In Greenock, in order to take a shower, females have to go through Nyomi Fee who killed her child. Inmates are given jobs, and it’s Nyomi’s job to hand out towels. Nyomi is in love with Alex the trans man. My niece hates a ‘beast’ and so she would wipe herself down in her room rather than have to go through a man, Alex, in order to get a towel. Alex and Nyomi are inseperable. Nyomi was in charge of distributing towels for women to enter the communal shower area.
Niece 2 is a lesbian, and in Greenock it is communal showering. I imagine most women don’t want to see a man in their washing area, but for lesbians it is particularly relevant.
The prison guards do not allow lesbian relationships. My niece’s lover was also in jail and they separated the two of them by putting them in different jails, but with Alex and Nyomi the guards allow them to freely interact with each other. My niece said the guards would often hang out in their rooms, laughing it up with the both of them.
Laws changed and most of the women were put in Polmont. Alex stayed at Greenock. My niece said Paris was always on a ‘rule’ (locked in his room) because he was always flashing his cock to the guards and the women. She also said that he is a very tall man, and can look over the cubicle when women are showering. She also said that she had to sit in the waiting area with him when waiting for a doctor’s appointment, unsupervised.
Both nieces were battered and abused by their father, but niece 1 went on to have a relationship with an abusive man who would hit her and handcuff her naked to a radiator. In her own words he ‘kicked babies out of me’. She miscarried twice because of the severity of the beatings he gave her. And yet Scot Gov are putting her in an estate with men guilty of the most violent crimes.
Lastly, there is a woman who is living as a man in Polmont. She has had top surgery and takes testosterone and has a beard and looks like a man. When she was charged, she was sent to a man’s prison. But when she got there they discovered she is a biological female and so they returned her to a women’s prison.Women’s prisons are a dumping ground for the gender confused. If men who think they are women are allowed to be in the female estate, why can’t women who think they are men be housed in the men’s estate?”

Wales - The No Debating Society!
Andrew Doyle reports on his substack about Bangor University Debating Society:
The debating society that refuses to debate
Students at Bangor University are preventing discussion in the name of free speech.
Feb 10, 2026
The self-satirising quality of social justice activists never ceases to disappoint. This time it’s the Debating and Political Society at Bangor University which, in spite of the society’s name, has refused a request to hold a Q&A with political campaigner Jack Anderton and Reform MP Sarah Pochin. The society’s statement said it all: ‘Reform UK are not welcome at Bangor University’.
The society’s justification for its decision read like typical activist boilerplate, with the compulsory clutching of pearls:
‘We have zero tolerance for any form of racism, transphobia, or homophobia displayed by the members of Reform UK. Their approach to the lives of others is antithetical to the values of welcoming and fair debate that our society has upheld for 177 years.’
Not content with declaring that a democratically elected Member of Parliament was too controversial for public events, and that free speech can only be upheld by preventing certain people from speaking, the society implored other student groups ‘to join us in keeping hate out of our universities’.
Once again, we see how the nebulous concept of ‘hate’ is being weaponised to prevent open discussion. The reinterpretation of Reform’s policies as evidence of ‘hatred’ is to condemn what polls repeatedly tell us is the position of the majority of the British electorate. As for the scattershot accusations of ‘racism, transphobia, or homophobia’, this is all starting to feel a little dated. Don’t these students realise that very few are persuaded by these smears anymore?

The States - Trans Boleyn!
Anne Boleyn, second wife of Henry VIII, had a tragic life. Now she is being played in a play called Six in the States by larping man, Dylan Mulvaney. Gays Against Groomers on their substack explain how this is not hilarious ( well, it is a bit!) but is an insult to women. Hear hear.
Trans Boleyn? Girlhood on Broadway.
Dylan Mulvaney Cast as Anne Boleyn in Six
Jan 20, 2026
For nearly 500 years, the worst thing that ever happened to Anne Boleyn was being beheaded.
That is no longer true.
They conclude:
Broadway can cast whoever it wants. But women are not required to pretend this is empowering, and parents are not required to ignore the warning signs.
Anne Boleyn was beheaded once. Turning her legacy into a prop for a movement that sexualizes our daughters and targets childhood innocence is a second execution, performed in sequins and sold as progress. If Six wants to be a celebration of women again, it can start by actually prioritizing women and girls.

What is Gender Dysphoria?
Amy Yarin on her substack looks at ‘predictive coding’ and links it in to so called ‘gender dysphoria’. I think this chimes with Dr Miriam Grossman’s belief that ‘gender dysphoria’ is a symptom and you need to look behind it to find the true cause or causes of the problem ( see Lost In Trans Nation). All thoughts gratefully received.
Under the Boot: Predictive Coding and Gender Distress
Connecting gender distress with the mind-body paradigm
Jan 29, 2026
In 1995, a construction worker was rushed to the hospital after his boot was impaled by a gargantuan 15 centimeter nail. He was in agonizing pain. Then, something strange: when doctors cut off the boot they discovered that the nail had pierced between two toes, leaving him unscathed--not a scratch. The pain vanished instantly.
This story seems absurd until you understand the neuroscience concept of predictive coding: the brain’s ability to act as a prediction machine, rather than merely a passive recorder of reality. While scientists previously thought that pain was exclusively generated in a bottom-up fashion involving nociception (damaged tissues sending messages to the brain to create pain signals), modern research has revealed that this relationship is in fact bidirectional. In other words, pain is not merely a report of injury, but the result of a brain continuously generating its best guess by filtering incoming signals through what it already knows about threat, safety, and meaning.
Pain science is beginning to be quietly revolutionized by this insight, allowing a new cohort of people to become agents of their own healing outside of the biomedical paradigm. Unfortunately, this understanding has not yet solidified into conventional practice of pain medicine, with doctors still relying near-exclusively on structural findings to determine the cause of chronic pain. (For those unfamiliar with this concept, an annotated bibliography of research on psychophysiological conditions from this knowledge base can be found here.)
The construction worker’s pain made perfect sense and was the result of a brain behaving in its normal and healthy way. His brain saw what looked dangerous and assigned a probability: a scary-long nail through a boot equals tissue damage. It set off the alarm: pain.
If this critical misunderstanding--which creates years of disability, medical shopping, hopelessness, and failed interventions--is unfortunate, its extension into gender medicine is tragic.
Gender-related distress is often treated as if it can mean only one thing: that the body is wrong. When distress is explained exclusively as an organic flaw that must be corrected physically, medicine becomes uninterested in deeper etiological questions. This is a disservice to the complexity of our humanity and is ultimately harmful to people seeking a fix that’s beyond skin-deep.

Get Intersex out of the Alphabet Soup
A.M. on her substack looks at the false teaming of those with ‘intersex’ conditions with larping males and females. All thoughts gratefully received.
The Explosion of Trans-Intersexed People
Bringing the hammer down on the intersex narrative for all time.
Jan 11, 2026
She concludes:
Conclusion
The push for more visibility has spectacularly backfired. Obviously, it’s a trend. What once looked like a fringe issue has exploded in the face of an unrelenting campaign for more recognition. Trans activists have been appropriating the language of intersex advocacy and oppression narratives for themselves for over thirty years. They routinely interject intersex cases to obfuscate or deflect gender-critical analysis.
“Transwomen are not women. They’re male.”
— Gender Critical Person
“Oh yeah, then please explain Swyers’s Syndrome…”
— Trans Activist
“Excuse me, no. Intersex has nothing at all to do with you people, ffs! Argumentum ad Intersex, not on my watch.”
— Veteran Radfem
They appropriate intersex people: LGBT became LGBTQI. “I” is for congenital Intersex disorders, grafted to same-sex attraction and gender identities. While AFAB/AMAB and “assigned at birth” refers only to medically changed bodies and has nothing whatsoever to do with a trans gender identity being asserted ten, twenty, thirty, forty-plus years into a person’s life. Just another intersex framing schema that trans activists have colonized for themselves that does not benefit genuinely intersexed individuals or their advocacy in any meaningful way. It’s not just unscientific or disingenuous, it’s unethical and oppressive.
“We are trans! We are also intersex! Which is rare btw! Visibility! Visibility! Even more visibility! Uh oh! Transplosion! We’re transtrending really hard! Dang, there goes the intersex narrative...”
Oops. We fucked up.
Yes, you did. This one goes out to all the intersex posers and wannabes on Quora, Medium, Substack, X, and ☢️REDDIT!☢️

Terf Island Discs
Thanks to all readers ( and me 😀) who have made suggestions and we still have lots of songs to go that will take us well into 2026. It’s been great (I think anyway 😊).
We will then be reverting to Endpieces.
Endpieces, as regular readers will know, consisted of comic pieces, animal videos, songs etc to provide a bit of relief after some of the horror stories we detail on this substack. Endpieces was run by Tenaciously Terfin, Liz Parker and myself and we are delighted to now have been joined by Becca Shambles, Petal and Jeremy Wickins. Please let us know if you want to join the Endpieces Club 😊
I have an Endpieces folder so Endpieces suggestions can be sent to me at any time from now even though Terf Island Discs will be continuing for the moment as explained above 😊
Onwards with Terf Island Discs.
