I will occasionally be producing one off pieces which will only be available to paid subscribers. I can’t predict how often this will be since I am normally taken up with reading and listening to a great deal of material and constructing the next update. The regular updates will continue to be available to all subscribers. However, if you would like access to these one off pieces as well, please consider becoming a paid subscriber for the cost of a cup of coffee per month. The next one concerns the legal case that I always reach for if there is yet another threat to free speech - the case of Christian preacher, Alison Redmond-Bate v The Director of Public Prosecutions. I hope to send this out to paid subscribers tomorrow evening. It is still under construction but here is a ‘taster’ from the current draft:
Alison Redmond-Bate was a Christian and a member of an organisation called the Faith Ministries. The photo above is of a suffragette by the way because my subject here is not specifically preaching the Gospel but Free Speech.
The Faith Ministries preached the Gospel on the streets. On 2 October 1997 Alison, her mother and one other woman were preaching on the steps of Wakefield Cathedral.
An anonymous couple complained about the preaching to Police Constable Tennant who was on foot patrol. He attended at the Cathedral. There was not much of a crowd. He warned the three women not to stop people but, since they were not actually stopping people, he moved on. Twenty minutes later PC Tennant returned to find that a crowd of more than a hundred had gathered. Some of the crowd were showing hostility towards the three women preachers. PC Tennant asked the women to stop preaching. When they refused, he arrested them for breach of the peace.
Alison was convicted. Alison appealed her conviction to the High Court.
As we move further into 2025 I am featuring, to start with, and in alphabetical order, those Readers’ Choices for best film ever that did not make the top seven ( see Update 500 for the top seven). Next up is Spirited Away.
Spirited Away is a 2001 Japanese animated fantasy film written and directed by Hayao Miyazaki.
Ten-year-old Chihiro Ogino and her parents Akio and Yūko travel to their new home. Akio, taking a shortcut, stops in front of a tunnel leading to what appears to be an abandoned amusement park, which Yūko insists on exploring over Chihiro's protestations. Upon finding a seemingly empty restaurant still stocked with food, Chihiro's parents immediately begin to eat. While exploring further, Chihiro finds an enormous bathhouse and meets a boy named Haku, who warns her to return across the riverbed before sunset. However, Chihiro discovers her parents have been transformed into pigs and she cannot cross the now-flooded river.

UK - The Poison Of Stonewall
Stonewall may have lost half their funding from US Aid but they are, unfortunately, not finished yet. Thanks to a whistleblower, James Esses has had the ‘pleasure’ of sitting through an online Stonewall training session led by Morgan Page ( of ‘Cotton Ceiling’ fame - https://grahamlinehan.substack.com/p/overcoming-the-cotton-ceiling-annotated). James reports on it on his revived substack.
Stonewall Continue to Poison Minds
Going Undercover at Stonewall Training
Mar 19, 2025
It can be difficult to shine a light on Stonewall’s activism, which so often takes place behind closed doors.
However, I have obtained a recording from a recent Stonewall workshop for workplaces. The title of the workshop was: ‘Introduction to Trans Allyship’.
How did I obtain this? Well, I have a confession. I had a spy on the inside – observing and recording the entire thing. Needs must.
If anyone thought that Stonewall was on its way out, given the number of organisations who have dropped from its workplace schemes over recent years, think again. This workshop was attended by senior members of staff from a range of organisations, including University of Sheffield, Kings College London, Premier Foods, Allen & Overy, Sage Publications, and even Budweiser Brewing Group UK&I.
Stonewall is still very much able to spread its ideological message.
From the moment the workshop began, it was clear that the majority of attendees were already devout followers of gender ideology, with pronouns in their Zoom names.
The host of the workshop was ‘transwoman’ Morgan Page, Trans Programme Manager at Stonewall.
Page began the day by telling attendees: “you may have heard of Stonewall if you’ve opened up any right-wing newspaper over recent years”. To commence a workshop for professionals by trying to denigrate those with concerns over gender ideology as ‘right wing’ is extraordinarily telling. Plus, as I have said previously, this isn’t about left or right. It’s about right and wrong.
In Conversation
The first session of the workshop was a conversation with Mia Weston (they/them), who works in People Operations for the company that owns Total Jobs; clearly someone with significant influence over recruitment practices in the UK.
Weston began by claiming proudly to have “hands on control over how my organisation interacts with LGBT+ people”. How interesting that the term ‘control’ was used. Weston went on to say that his role is “ensuring organisations’ terminology is correct”. This means “not saying mother” in maternity policies.
This policing of language that now occurs within workplaces is desperately worrying. Crucially, who has bestowed the right to decide what language is ‘correct’ upon Weston?
For those who dare to question an individual requesting to be recognised as the other sex, Weston described this as “bigotry”. That doesn’t sound particularly inclusive now, does it?
Particularly concerning was when Weston suggested that workplaces should recognise an employee’s ‘chosen gender’ so it can act as a box to be ticked if that individual presents at a gender clinic. This is dangerous. Employers should not be used, willingly or unwillingly, towards determining ‘healthcare’ that their employees will receive, particularly when such healthcare comes with the risks that cross-sex hormones and sex re-assignment surgery have.
The next technique employed by Stonewall was a dollop of scaremongering, with attendees being warned that if they tell a ‘black trans’ employee they cannot transition, that the company will cause the “entire black diaspora to…become disengaged”. You couldn’t make it up.

UK - Private Conversations
The UK Government is demanding a ‘backdoor’ to encrypted online communications, undermining our privacy and civil liberties as reported by Matthew Feeney of Big Brother Watch on the Academy of Ideas substack.
The Home Office should stay out of our private conversations
Mar 24, 2025
The Home Office and Apple have been waging a legal battle that is jeopardising the privacy and security of thousands of law-abiding British citizens and residents. How long this battle has been going on, which employees are involved, and what specific technology is at issue are all secret thanks to the Investigatory Powers Act (IPA). What we do know, thanks to leaks to journalists, is that the Home Office is determined to undermine end-to-end encryption (E2EE). This should concern everyone who cares about civil liberties, the state of the British economy and the UK’s international reputation.
E2EE ensures that only the sender and intended recipients of messages can access those messages. If you send someone a message on WhatsApp, Signal or other service that enables E2EE, only you and the other person can read the message. If police were to demand that WhatsApp or Signal produce the content of a message, they would be unable to do so. This is a level of privacy and security that many other messaging services do not provide. While many popular email services have envelopes as their app logos, the reality is that, for most people, their emails are similar to postcards, ready for a police force or intelligence agency to read provided they have the required court order or warrant.
E2EE protects people all over the world from criminals, authoritarian governments and abusive family members. It protects dissidents, human-rights campaigners and journalists, as well as their sources. It keeps financial transactions secure and family group-chats private. But for intelligence agencies, ever eager to lay our private lives bare, the existence of private communication is unacceptable. One way for the government to access such information is for the home secretary to use powers outlined in the IPA and to issue a Technical Capability Notice (TCN) to a company that requires the company to take steps to make content available. When it comes to E2EE content, a TCN would require the company providing E2EE to break this encryption, allowing the government to force their way in through a backdoor and into our private data.
Once E2EE is broken, there is no way to effectively limit who can access the previously protected content. It is not possible for Apple to open doors to its customers’ data and ensure that only the police or intelligence agencies will walk through. Criminals and foreign adversaries will exploit any weakness Apple makes to its encryption.

Jersey - The History of the Gender Borg
Women’s Rights Network Jersey invited Stephanie Davies-Arai to talk to them and this is a recording of that. It is a really excellent history of the rise of the gender borg which you may find useful to send to anyone you are talking to who has not yet peaked!
One quibble from me. I agree with Dr Miriam Grossman ( Lost in Trans Nation) that ‘gender dysphoria’ is a symptom rather than a condition and you do not treat a symptom.
New Zealand - Free Speech
Just one piece from the Free Speech Union NZ newsletter( 23 March):
Breach of Contract: suing venues that de-platform
We are grateful to the over 12,500 Kiwis who have donated money to the Free Speech Union since we set up almost four years ago. And we aim to steward this investment wisely. That's why, when B:Hive, a venue in Auckland that was going to host the first event of the James Lindsay tour cancelled on us 2 working days out from the event because a single individual had contacted them, we needed to hold them to task.
We accept that private venues can choose not to do business with us. But they can't choose to do business with us, take our payment in full, and then cancel two working days out without expecting us to take them to task for breaching their contract.
Working to hold venues to account and getting value for our donors money at the same time 💪
New Zealand - Rainbow Crossings and a War on Woke.
Excellent piece from our friend, Katrina Biggs on her substack, A B’Old Woman covering several issues: the failure of a court application by concerned ratepayers against Wellington Council installing rainbow crossings ( I hope to do more of a detailed read of this judgment in due course); a newspaper, in response to a complaint about a cartoon about Christianity, admitting they would be too scared to do a cartoon about Islam; the government failing to inform Mana Wāhine Kōrero the details of who is carrying out a report into puberty blockers; and NZ First committing to ‘a war on woke.’
Every time I hear of rainbow crossings I think of the now famous police horses video!!

International Olympic Committee
There are several good pieces in the latest Women’s Rights Network Newsletter (23 March) including about a larping male officer in a Scottish prison carrying out searches of female inmates and female visitors!! However I am just going with one report here. I recently reported on a WRN delegation attending IOC headquarters in advance of the appointment of the new chair. We now have a new chair - Kirsty Coventry ( bad luck, Seb Coe 😟). And the jury is out!!
IOC Want “Inclusive” Women’s Events
International Olympic Committee appoints woman who says women’s events must not exclude “anyone”
In advance of the IOC’s latest vote to appoint a new chair, three members of WRN’s sport group went to the IOC’s Swiss headquarters with the message, “Safety and Fairness for Females”.
The group wanted to be a presence that reminded the IOC that women and girls need single sex sports right from grassroots activities in order to gain the skills and experience to become professional or Olympians. Without grassroots opportunities, professional sports will lose women.
The women spoke with the head of IOC Media Relations and Olympic Games Communications and said they had a wide-ranging discussion that included the Paris Olympics, DSD athletes, cheek swabs, the Olympic framework that states there’s “no presumed advantage of being male” and more.
The group wanted to deliver Thomas Bach’s certificate and wooden spoon in person to get the message to the top. Fair and Safe Sport for Females.
You can watch the women discuss the meeting and the continuing issues, including the IOC’s history of ignoring female athletes’ requests for sex verification, which makes for informative viewing.
The IOC went on to elect Kirsty Coventry the tenth president and apparently unironically claimed her as the “first female president in IOC History” without specifying whether that was because she declared herself female or was known to be female.
Late in Kirsty’s election campaign, when speaking at the European Olympic Committee General Assembly in February this year she said, "I want to ensure that front and foremost, we protect (the) female category. I don't believe that transgender female athletes should be competing at the Olympic Games".
However, at a conference organised by the International Sports Press Association (AIPS) also in February Kirsty framed her thoughts differently, saying, “We need to work with federations, medical teams and experts to find a solution that protects the female category without excluding anyone."
The new President-elect will take over this coming June and promised to set up a task-force to look at this issue.
WRN asserts that all males need to be excluded from female sports and want to see the new president:
• Scrap the Olympic Framework that stated there is No Presumption of Advantage due to “sex variations” (in other words male)
• Write clear rules that state “no males of any kind in the female category”
• Back up the rules with the introduction of sex-verification tests – cheek swabs for the SRY gene which is located on the Y chromosome (and which only males have)
Never again should women be forced into the boxing ring to face athletes who have failed “gender verification tests” at previous competitions, nor lose out on selection for the Games because a sports federation allows trans-identified males to take their place, nor should males ever again take the kudos and wealth that comes from winning Olympics medals because they are “female in their passport.”
We look forward to a new era in which fairness and safety are restored for all women and girls involved in sport from grassroots to the Olympics.
The countdown to LA28 has started.
Women Don’t….
Virtually the only argument used by the gender ideologues as to why larping men should be allowed in women’s sports is that they are actually women. Funny then that larping women don’t want to take part in men’s sports. Let me ponder that…😂

Missing Puberty
On the channel Beyond Gender, Bret Alderman and Stella O’Malley interview James Linehan. James presents a very powerful argument against ‘gender affirmative care’ from an unusual and very personal angle!
James Linehan was born with congenital hypogonadotropic hypogonadism (CHH), a disorder of sexual development where his pituitary gland failed to produce the hormones necessary to trigger puberty. While his peers developed normally during adolescence, James remained physically and emotionally underdeveloped, creating an increasingly noticeable contrast as he entered his mid-teens. By age 16, the difference became concerning enough that his father, a physician who recognized the medical implications, sought intervention at the University of California San Francisco endocrinology clinic. There, James began hormone replacement therapy to address his condition.
Despite treatment, CHH has left lasting effects on James's life, including infertility and underdeveloped anatomy. Drawing from his personal medical journey, he now advocates against the use of puberty blockers in children, highlighting concerns about their potential permanent effects—consequences he understands intimately through his own experience with delayed development.

Stunning And Dave
Once we win this battle, I think Kellie-Jay has a career on the stage. This is priceless. I was in tears! I think our reader, Becca will especially enjoy this since she drew the NHS video in question to our attention and did a brilliant synopsis of it - see here:

Oh wow, It's good to see KJK helping these NHS TITS (Trans Inclusion Training Sessions) get the visibility they deserve! I hope Wes Streeting is also keeping abreast of the issue 😄
Great news round-up, thanks Dusty
Thanks as ever Dusty. The Stephanie Davies Arai piece is really useful peaking material with loads of information about the social contagion with children. She’s another like KJK who doesn’t get the recognition she deserves. And you know I agree about dysphoria being a symptom.
