My night out has been adjourned until next week. So here I am back at my Terfy post already! Quite a long one tonight, dear readers.
Onwards with the Westerns series celebrating Trump’s Executive Orders. This is the second one to feature a positive portrayal of an American Indian.
William Blake, an accountant from Cleveland, Ohio, rides by train to the frontier town of Machine to take up a promised accounting job in the town's metal works. Arriving in town, Blake then discovers that the position has already been filled, and John Dickinson, the ferocious owner of the company, drives Blake from the workplace at gunpoint.
Jobless and without money or prospects, Blake meets Thel Russell, a former prostitute who sells paper flowers. He lets her take him home. Thel's ex-boyfriend Charlie surprises them in bed, shoots at Blake, and accidentally kills Thel when she shields Blake with her body. The bullet passes through Thel and wounds Blake, who kills Charlie with Thel's gun before climbing out the window and fleeing the town on Charlie's horse. Company owner Dickinson is Charlie's father and hires three killers — Cole Wilson, Conway Twill, and Johnny "The Kid" Pickett — to bring Blake back "dead or alive".
Blake awakens to find aa American Indian man trying to dislodge the bullet from his chest. The man, calling himself Nobody, reveals that the bullet is too close to Blake's heart to remove, rendering Blake effectively a walking dead man. When he learns Blake's full name, Nobody decides Blake is a reincarnation of William Blake, a poet whom he idolizes but of whom Blake is ignorant. He decides to protect Blake. They head towards the Pacific Ocean pursued by the killers.
So, in the end, the hero in this film is not William Blake but Nobody!
Johnny Depp is William Blake, Gary Farmer is Nobody
I would like to take this opportunity of thanking all my subscribers, free or paid, because it makes it all worthwhile to know that there are people out there reading this and (hopefully) finding it useful and informative. Maybe even inspiring!!! Obviously special thanks to my paid subscribers and those who occasionally buy me a coffee because this does involve a lot of work and it is great to get a bit of recompense for all that work. Also then my feline assistant gets more treats ( only joking).
Please join in the great discussions that take place in the comments.

I have recently been reporting on serious concerns over this piece of legislation. Here is Darren Grimes on the subject. I agree with Darren. Do you? All thoughts gratefully received.
UK - ‘Conversion Practices’
I reported here on Stonewall’s ridiculous claims that conversion practices with regard to gay, lesbian and ‘transgender’ people were still being practised.
https://dustymasterson.substack.com/p/the-quick-and-the-dead?utm_source=publication-search
John Armstrong debunks this extraordinary claim in The Spectator.
Have a tenth of all gay people really had an exorcism?
3 April 2025
According to research commissioned by Stonewall, clerics are conducting one LGBTQ+ exorcism for every two religious wedding ceremonies they perform. This shocking finding is the logical conclusion of Stonewall’s ‘Culture Wars and Hate’ survey which found that 10 per cent of LGBTQ+ people in the UK have experienced an exorcism which aimed to change their gender or sexual orientation.
At first glance, this may seem to contradict the government’s National LGBT Survey which found in 2017 that only 2 per cent of LGBT people had undergone conversion practices. Perhaps there has been a recent boom in exorcisms?
Stonewall’s full data set finds that that 8.2 per cent of LGBTQ+ people in the UK have experienced an exorcism in the last five years alone. Given there are 1.5 million LGB+ people in the England and Wales, this implies that UK clergymen are performing gay exorcisms at a rate of 24,600 per year. Is it any wonder then that our time-poor priests could only manage 41,915 religious wedding ceremonies in 2022?
The more you dig into the data, the more remarkable it seems. While most of us remained at home, it seems there was no let-up for exorcists during lockdown. The number of religious wedding ceremonies halved in 2019-2020 compared with 2018-2018, but the Stonewall data reveals no drop in the number of exorcisms over the same period.
According to Simon Blake, the new CEO of Stonewall, ‘These alarming figures shed light on just how common these practices remain.’ Strikingly, Blake appears unaware that Stonewall’s own figures show that LGBT exorcism is a phenomenon which appears to have swept the country in just a few years. Is it possible that Blake has not subjected Stonewall’s data to that most basic of statistical procedures: the smell test?
John Armstrong concludes:
Nobody is under oath when they take part in a survey. Since the 2017 National LGBT survey, legislation to ban conversion therapy has been at the top of Stonewall’s political agenda. Some respondents may have felt, quite understandably, that it was more important to give a response that would help promote a ban than give a response that was strictly accurate. The political campaigning of LGBT activists may have fomented a moral panic within their own community. This would explain the dramatic change in reports of conversion therapy over such a short time.
If this conjecture is correct, one would expect the highest rates of exorcisms to be found among the most politically active: specifically, the young, the trans and the metropolitan. The data appear consistent with this theory. For example, 0.5 per cent of those aged 50+ claim to have experienced an exorcism compared to 16 per cent of 18–24-year-olds. The rate of exorcisms in London is double that of the country as a whole.
Given Stonewall’s fall from grace over recent years, few will be surprised to see them promoting bogus statistics. What is more disturbing is that the BBC, who should be striving for impartiality, parroted their research without asking the most basic questions. Stonewall’s statistical illiteracy is not a particularly well-kept secret, and journalists should be aware that sometimes surveys encourage motivated answers. Perhaps BBC bosses should start asking some awkward questions to show their journalists how it is done.

UK - Adolescence
I reported on this Netflix series which is to be shown in all secondary schools in the last update. https://dustymasterson.substack.com/p/geronimo
Andrew Doyle analyses the situation on his substack. Here is an excerpt:
But wherever one stands on the merits of Adolescence, there can be little doubt that it has been seized upon by the establishment to promote a certain ideological worldview…
One of the most telling aspects of the fallout from the series has been the way in which it has been embraced by Tender, a UK charity that aims to prevent domestic violence. According to Anne Mensah (Netflix UK’s Vice President of Content), Tender has now been commissioned to ‘create resources for teachers and parents to help them navigate the important topics the show explores’.
The appeal of Adolescence for charities and activist groups such as Tender lies in its ideological assumptions. In its toolkit for schools, Tender makes the claim that ‘violent behaviour does not erupt out of nowhere’ and that unchecked ‘micro-aggressions’ can eventually lead to physical harm. Here is its diagram which explains this slippery slope.
This theory amounts to an argument for censorship. It was first developed in The Nature of Prejudice, a 1954 book by psychologist Gordon Allport, in which a five-point scale was presented to show how discriminatory speech can escalate into genocide.

Australia - ‘Gender Services’
Feminist Legal Clinic reports on the situation in South Australia.
Review ordered into SA gender diversity service’s compliance with state guidelines (04 April)
In short:
SA’s gender diversity service did not refer almost two dozen children to a psychiatrist in line with government guidelines.
The 22 children — aged between 11 and 18 — were assessed by senior mental health clinicians before receiving treatment, but they were not assessed by psychiatrists.
What’s next?
The head of the state’s Women’s and Children’s Hospital, who apologised to families, has ordered a review.

UK - The Grooming Gangs Scandal
As regular readers will know I see an analogy between this scandal and what I would describe as the ‘gender affirming care’ scandal. I also join the call for a full national public inquiry into the grooming gangs scandal. I recommend the tireless work on this issue by Raja Miah:
WPATH
Feminist Legal Clinic reports via Reduxx:
EXCLUSIVE: Founding WPATH Academic Defended NAMBLA Leader, Child Porn, and Worked with Pro-Pedophile Academic Journal – Reduxx
04 April
Reduxx can reveal that a founding member of the organization now known as the World Professional Association for Transgender Health (WPATH) was in correspondence with and defended a leading figure behind a notorious pro-pedophile lobby group. American sexologist Vern L. Bullough was a pioneering academic involved with the US-based Harry Benjamin International Gender Dysphoria Association, later renamed to WPATH, and served on the editorial team for a pro-pedophile academic publication which advocated for the normalization of adult-child sexual relations.
Despite repeatedly arguing that his interest in the topic of pedophilia, or “intergenerational sex,” as he referred to it, was purely academic, Bullough revealed during the Paidika interview that he believed there was a “hysteria” surrounding the topic of child sexual abuse, and blamed “feminists” for the widespread opposition to pedophilia.
“Paedophiles have become the scapegoat for everything that seems to be wrong with American society and the family,” Bullough continued. “We have institutionalized the hysteria… Paedophiles are so excluded from mainstream American society that they cannot really say what they do or what they believe in.”
But perhaps most disturbingly, Bullough kept regular correspondences with a top member of the North American Man Boy Love Association (NAMBLA), a lobby group that advocates for the normalization of sexual relationships between adult men and young boys.
Bullough was also a main organizer of the World Pornography Conference, with the first event taking place in 1998 at the Center for Sex Research at Cal State Northridge, with the financial backing of the pornography industry’s lobby group, the Free Speech Coalition.
Amnesty International
Sarah Phillimore reports on her substack about taking one for the Terf team by sitting in on Amnesty International training sessions about how to deal with us rabid ‘anti-gender activists.’ How has a once great organisation sunk to these depths!!??
Gender Justice, Human Rights and Propaganda
What happens when a pre-eminent human rights organisation becomes captured by a quasi religious ideology? I took the course to find out.
Apr 03, 2025
On April 2nd I was alerted to the existence of a course offered by Amnesty International UK called Gender Justice and Human Rights: Tackling the rise of the anti-gender movement. As of the time of writing 2, 240 had enrolled on the course and it had an impressive 4.7 star rating from its 17 reviews. One read ‘the content was okay and the details are very accurate’.
I thought it my duty to test that assertion. The course offers 3 learning objectives spread over three hours
delve into the fundamental concepts of gender justice
examine the motivations and impacts of anti gender movements
discover strategies to support and advance gender justice
The tone is set very early on with a thoughtful trigger warning that tells me exactly what the authors want me to feel about these brutes who challenge gender
‘Learning about gender injustice can be emotionally challenging, especially if you experience marginalisation and oppression. You may find some of the material upsetting. Please consider your wellbeing and take time out of the course if necessary.’
Week 1
Suitably warned I continued to the first week which promised to impart understanding of the key concepts and explore gender as a social construct. I was pleasantly surprised. The definitions of ‘gender’ and ‘gender identity’ are pretty much the ones I would give - for e.g.
‘Gender is a social construct, an idea created to categorise people and order society. It varies across cultures and changes over time.’
But by the time we get to ‘social construct’ the alarm bells are clanging. The course correctly recognises that stereotypes inform assumptions we make about ‘gender roles’ - boys should never cry, girls are innately nurturing and gentle. But it goes on to assert that the differences between men and women are therefore solely created by society i.e. there is nothing about the male or female sex that might contribute to female oppression
‘It means men and women should act differently based on the roles society has created for them.
‘These beliefs and expectations lead to an unequal power dynamics where men hold more power than women, have more access to economic and political resources, and are valued more in positions of authority.’
And of course, reliance is then placed on Simone de Beauvoir who apparently illustrated the ‘fact’ that the idea of womanhood is a social construction. The sleight of hand is complete. Sex has been subsumed completely by gender. And it is gender not sex that determines a woman’s place in the world, gender is sex and sex is gender, its all just a ‘construct’ and can be challenged and changed.
The definition of ‘anti gender movements’ illustrates this idiocy, bundling up sex, sexuality and gender all in one amorphous and hence entirely useless definition
‘An umbrella term that refers to groups of individuals and organisations who oppose gender justice, and actively seek to limit the human rights and freedoms of women, LGBTI+ and gender diverse people, including access to healthcare, education and employment.’
I commented as follows - it will be interesting to see if my comment survives.
‘You appear to be muddling up sex and gender in a way that is both confusing and dangerously misleading. Women are not oppressed because of their 'gender' but because of their sex - an immutable reality, not a stereotype they can shake off.’
Sarah concludes:
There is a week 3 but frankly I think I have suffered enough. I was asked to rate my experience of weeks 1 and 2. I chose the ‘sad face’ emoji and commented thus
‘This is appalling. You have conflated sex and gender, you have conflated women's rights groups with religious bigots or the Far Right. This is not 'education'. It is indoctrination and propaganda. From an organisation I once respected as a pre-eminent in protecting human rights, this is a bitter pill indeed. I am asking that you either amend or withdraw this course. In the event that you refuse, I will be making representations to the Charity Commission and the Equality and Human Rights Commission. I consider that you are encouraging hate and discrimination against a protected belief - that sex is real and it matters.’
I will now contact the email address offered for comments and give them 28 days to respond. I am sick and tired of this shit. I hope you are too. If you share my rage, let Amnesty know.
is anything you need help with you can contact us at sct@amnesty.org.uk.

Thanks to Ute Heggen for passing us on this report about a female fencer who refused to compete against a larping man.
Female Fencer Forfeits Against a Male, then Disqualified from Tournament! It's a Price More and More Women Pay~

Female Fencer Booted From Tournament After Refusing To Compete Against Male Opponent
Sullivan formerly competed against males.
By Amanda Prestigiacomo
Apr 2, 2025 DailyWire
(Ute’s note: photo below is the male fencer who suddenly switched from the male league to women’s recently. Take a moment to notice the brows and strong chin, the wide skull. Some members of the public will be fooled by long hair and make-up, but once you know the tells, sex is obvious. This male athlete presents as much larger than the females he’s competing with, both in his track and fencing activities.)
A female fencer was disqualified from a tournament in Maryland this past weekend after she took a knee and refused to compete against a transgender-identifying male opponent.
(Ute’s note: the above language needs to read: a male who now “identifies as female.” I’d phrase it thusly: “a male who ideates a female persona.” The public continues to be confused about which sex the individual is. Some may think its about a female who claims to be “non-binary-masculine” or the like.)
Redmond Sullivan, who is male and identifies as transgender, was allowed to participate in the female tournament per USA Fencing rules, the organization confirmed to The Daily Wire. Sullivan formerly competed with males, and quickly won the top prize at Connecticut Division Junior Olympic Qualifiers last year after switching to female fencing, according to the Daily Mail.
Sullivan’s female opponent, a young woman from the Fencing Academy of Philadelphia, refused to compete against the male and was presented with a black card, meaning she was disqualified from the entire event, a source relayed to The Daily Wire and USA Fencing confirmed.

Some good points by Claire Fox about Adolescence. The more I see of Starmer, the more I despise him. He’s a dangerous combination of ideological capture and incompetence, incapable of analysis of the effects of his policies and actions. I’ve got the Wizard of Oz in my head now “if he only had a brain”.
Thanks Dusty. I agree with Darren.
Well done Stephanie! And I think Ute’s notes on the language made the truth of the situation so much clearer; I wish she could be in charge of the media style guides!
Great round up, thanks Dusty :)
