This is another long one, dear readers!
And finally in our brief Westerns series celebrating Trump’s Executive Orders, one of my favourite Westerns, Once Upon A Time In The West (1968), a sweeping operatic masterpiece from Sergio Leone.
A train arrives at the Old West town of "Flagstone" where a man with a harmonica (later dubbed "Harmonica") overcomes an ambush by killing three men in dusters. Although Harmonica was expecting to meet an outlaw named Frank, he concludes from the dusters that the men belonged to the outlaw Cheyenne's gang. It is not yet clear why Harmonica seeks Frank. Much later on ( the scene below) Frank comes to meet Harmonica to find out who he really is.
And readers who have seen this film will immediately notice that I have failed to mention Claudia Cardinale who also stars in the film - but I am avoiding entering into the convoluted plot too much!! She plays Jill McBain.
In the scene before the one below, Cheyenne ( Jason Robards) and Jill are watching Harmonica (before Frank turns up) from a nearby house. She asks:
What’s he waiting for out there? What’s he doing?
He’s whittling on a piece of wood. I’ve got a feeling when he stops whittling, something’s going to happen.
Henry Fonda is Frank.
Charles Bronson is Harmonica.
I hope you all caught my shameless advert 😁 Please spread it around if you can.

UK - Law Firms
Way back when Stonewall decided to conserve their vast amounts of funding by switching from support for LGB ( now that the final campaign for same sex marriage had been achieved) to support for the T and the Q, they were advised by the leading law firm Dentons not to debate. Lots of people covered this at the time - here is Glinner, just as one example: https://grahamlinehan.substack.com/p/the-dentons-document.
Recently it has become more and more difficult for Stonewall and others to avoid debating. Maybe the change of policy in the States on gender ideology is going to finally bury this era of ‘no debate.’ EDI Jester addresses this -all thoughts gratefully received.
Swim England
One item from the latest Women’s Rights Network newsletter ( 06 April):
Not Swimming For England
Mainstream coverage of Swim England scandal that WRN covered in February
On 1 April, the WRN Leisure Centre Report was referenced by Laura Scott on BBC Woman’s Hour in the context of the rise in cases of voyeurism reported to Swim England following a move towards unisex changing spaces.
Swim England published its current safeguarding policy in 2024. James Diamond, Swim England national safeguarding manager, said: “Swim England is extremely committed to creating a culture in our sports and activities which makes everyone feel protected, included and welcomed.
“Whether you’re a club official, coach, teacher, technical official, team manager, chaperone or parent/guardian, everyone has a duty of care to safeguard members and Wavepower [Swim England’s policy document] plays a major part in ensuring that’s the case.”
However, reports made to Swim England by the very people it charges with safeguarding responsibility, have not resulted in effective action to limit such abuses.
Swim England’s guidance on indecent images of children claims that “Swim England’s evidence is consistent with earlier NSPCC research that girls are more adversely affected by the risks than boys – it is not a gender neutral practice.”
The policy now prohibits any use of mobile phones in Swim England event changing rooms, but enforcement seems absent. The simplest step to restricting such possible abuses of girls and women is to provide single sex changing spaces. But within its 122 page safeguarding document, there is no mention of problems caused by unisex spaces.
Following this safeguarding failure, WRN is pleased to see this shocking story getting the coverage it deserves in The Times and BBC Woman’s Hour (first item, not billed).
The Times article quotes WRN’s Faye McGinty, saying that the increase in indecent photo incidents highlighted at the Swim England meeting was a “shocking indictment” of mixed-sex changing rooms failing to keep women and girls safe. And that “Things have not improved since the findings of the report in 2018. Yet Sport England guidance continues to result in more and more leisure centres offering ‘gender-neutral,’ ‘village-style’ changing facilities.
“Mixed-sex changing villages are the norm and they’re putting women and children at risk.”
It’s not just competitive swimmers who are at risk. Millions of women and children using their local pools for fun and fitness are placed at risk of exposure and sexual assault in mixed-sex changing rooms.
Single-sex changing rooms are no longer a guarantee of privacy, dignity and safety because many swimming pools and leisure centres have policies that allow males to self-identify into female spaces.
WRN’s position is still that women and children should be guaranteed safety at their local swimming pools and leisure centres.
Adolescence
In recent updates, I have been covering this Netflix Series. Baroness Claire Fox started off by lauding the series as a work of art but then found out about the involvement of the charity Tender and the plan to roll out the series in all secondary schools. She has now re-thought her position!! All thoughts gratefully received.
Ireland - Education
Maria Maynes in Gript News (Meath Hotel cancels ‘Safeguarding Children’s Education’ conference amid protest threats 04 April) reports:
The Johnstown Estate Hotel in Meath has declined to publicly explain its decision to cancel a scheduled conference titled Safeguarding Children’s Education, which was due to take place on Saturday, April 5th.
The ticketed event, Safeguarding Children’s Education, was organised by the Natural Women’s Council, headed by campaigner Jana Lunden, and was to feature a range of speakers, including UK author and campaigner, Stephanie Davies-Arai, and Countess activist and barrister, Laoise De Brun, who have both been prominent in campaigns opposing transgenderism in schools.
Organisers were informed by the hotel’s solicitor on Monday, March 31st, that the event would not go ahead. According to correspondence seen by Gript, the hotel cited “the safety and wellbeing of the Hotel’s staff members and guests” as a primary concern, referencing “more than 200 vociferous objections and complaints” and the prospect of on-site protests.
The solicitor’s letter noted that while organisers disputed the credibility of the complaints, the hotel was “not able to subjectively evaluate the genuineness of these communications,” and was “obliged… to take these threats seriously.”
A short statement from the hotel’s marketing department simply read: “No further comment will be made.”
Jana Lunden, head of the Natural Women’s Council, told Gript she had received no detailed explanation from the hotel as to what specific safety issues were being referred to, and was not aware the booking had been cancelled until after members of the public who had contacted the venue were notified. She said the group had signed a contract, paid in full, and completed three site visits prior to the cancellation.
Ms Lunden told Gript that she has previously had venues cancel five public events, deepening her concerns around active cancel culture.
Dusty - I am pleased to say that the conference did proceed this weekend at a different venue and was, I understand, very successful.
However it is clear that cancel culture is alive and well in Ireland!

Disney
Caroline Farrow of CitizenGo reports on a successful campaign ( e-mail of 06 April):
I have some encouraging news to share with you!
Disney has recently decided to drop a transgender character from their upcoming Pixar series, Win or Lose, and is instead replacing them with an openly Christian character!
This is a major shift for Disney, and it’s significant for several reasons:
Win or Lose isn't just another cartoon—it's Pixar's first-ever long-form animated series, meaning it will get massive promotion and reach millions of children worldwide.
This marks the first openly Christian character in a Disney production in nearly twenty years! The last one appeared in Bridge to Terabithia in 2007.
Disney itself admitted that many parents prefer to discuss topics like gender identity with their children on their own terms—something we’ve been saying all along.
For years, we’ve demanded that Disney stop indoctrinating our children. Now, it seems like they’re finally listening.
For me, this victory is personal. It comes on the sixth anniversary of my joining CitizenGO, and my very first global campaign was against Disney's relentless push for gender ideology. I still remember launching that petition—watching signatures climb by tens of thousands in hours, hitting 500,000 in days.
That was just the beginning.
Every time Disney tried sneaking LGBT themes into its content or hosting Pride parades at its parks, we fought back.
CitizenGO was the first organization to call out Disney's cultural indoctrination—long before “woke” became a household word.

Sigh! Once Disney were good!

In Gript News, John McGuirk looks at the Irish state broadcaster RTE.
Oh, to have a neck thick enough to work at RTE
04 April
One of my favourite trends in marketing is where companies that produce a harmful product seek credit from politicians and society for railing against the dangers of that harmful product. You know the stuff of which I speak: “Drink Aware” ads paid for by the alcohol industry; “Gambling aware” ads published with money donated by Paddy Power; that sort of thing.
Referring to Adolescence (see above) he states:
For example, is “Conor McGregor is going to round up corrupt Irish politicians” any more or less slop than RTE’s speciality: The national conversation about something RTE has decided is important? Last week, for example, Ben Scallan of this parish was invited onto RTE to discuss “toxic masculinity”, which is something that RTE has decided exists, or has, more accurately, wished into existence.
Is there any evidence that the overwhelming majority – or even a significant minority – of Irish men display a masculinity that is “toxic”? The answer is that there is so little evidence for this that RTE had to base their conversation on a fictional (and very good, admittedly) TV drama. But a fantasy is no less a fantasy because it is spoken soberly by Katie Hannon on prime time television than it is if spoken by some dweeb on twitter.

In case you missed it, Glinner does a very entertaining piece trying to get Chat GBT to write him a promotion for a proposed BBC drama about drag queens storming the Normandy Beaches. 😂 Chat GBT ultimately resists!!
The States - Clementine Breen
Clementine Breen was sexually assaulted when she was 6, felt distress at her body at 11, was put on puberty blockers at 12, testosterone at 13 and had a double mastectomy at 14!! She managed to find a proper therapist at 17 and is now happy with being a woman. She is taking legal action against the ‘professionals’ involved: the monstrous Dr. Johanna Olson-Kennedy; Dr Scott Mosser - a plastic surgeon specialising in gender-affirming surgery; and Susan P. Landon - a psychotherapist.
Excellent interview below with Jordan Peterson.
Best of luck, Clementine. These detransitioner legal actions are going to be so important!!

Fantastic round up Dusty, thanks as ever.
Wouldn’t it be great if Clementine won her case against Olson-Kennedy. Perhaps others would follow suit.
I agree with Claire Fox about Adolescence. Starmer is a disgrace to use it to virtue signal whilst further eroding the confidence of white males.
A conference with Jana Lunden and Stephanie Davies Arai- brilliant! I’ll have to look out for it on YouTube. Great work by Gript.
