Hot off the press after the wonderful Let Women Speak rally in Edinburgh. Hope lots of you got to see the livestream. I was there with my wife and our two friends, Mark and Sue. Though the anti-women activists (AWAs) had their own little area some thirty yards from our area, the police had also allowed lots of them to surround us on three sides of the area designated for us. So we were getting the usual blaring sounds and ridiculous chants from three sides and you had to get really close to stand a chance of hearing the speakers and, if you were near the back, you had no chance. I managed to have a brief chat with Mr Menno and Days of Boyhood and met lots of other lovely Terfs. Anyway photos below.
No 19 in the Leading Female Season is Ingrid Bergman in Casablanca where she plays Ilsa Lund, old flame of Casablanca bar owner, Rick (Humphrey Bogart). She doesn’t actually appear in the famous scene below but she is definitely there in spirit! Dooley Wilson plays Sam.
Thanks to two wonderful readers for referring me to some of the pieces below.

Scottish Hate Crime Act
Katrine Bussey in The Independent ( Minister refuses to say whether JK Rowling comments were non-crime hate incident 03 April) reports:
JK Rowling© Provided by The Independent
A Scottish Government minister has refused to say if comments by Harry Potter author JK Rowling could have been recorded by police as a non-crime hate incident.
Community safety minister Siobhian Brown said it is an operational matter for Police Scotland – who have been enforcing new legislation aimed at tackling hate crime which came into force north of the border this week.
A non-crime hate incident is recorded when an incident does not meet the threshold for a crime but is perceived to be “motivated (wholly or partly) by malice and ill-will towards a social group”, according to Police Scotland guidance.
Amid reports that more than 3,000 complaints have been received so far under the new legislation, the minister also revealed a false complaint had been made in her name.
Ms Brown said she had been “surprised” to receive a call from Police Scotland about a complaint she was said to have made on Monday, the day the legislation came into force.
Speaking on BBC Radio Scotland’s Good Morning Scotland programme on Wednesday, she said: “Obviously this was a fake complaint that someone had done anonymously in my name and gave my office number.”
Police have already confirmed that comments made by Rowling on social media on Monday were “not assessed to be criminal” and “no further action will be taken” against the writer.

Millie Cooke in GB News ( 'Making it up as they go along!' Fears of 1.4 MILLION Scotland hate crime complaints in first year 04 April) reports:
Police Scotland has been accused of "making it up as they go along" after discrepancies emerged in the way they responded to hate crime incidents.
The SNP introduced new hate crime legislation this week but it has since sparked fears that it could be overused, with the Scottish Tories estimating that 1.4 million complaints under the new law could be made in the first year.
Police Scotland said it would investigate every report made under the new law.
The row over the legislation escalated after Harry Potter author JK Rowling misgendered several trans people on social media, encouraging the police to arrest her. But the force confirmed that her posts were not being treated as a crime.

Simon Johnson in The Telegraph ( JK Rowling likens trans post critics to ‘those who hushed up paedophile priests’ 05 April) reports:
JK Rowling has said people who criticised her decision to highlight a series of trans sex criminals are like “those who hushed up paedophile priests to protect the church”.
Only hours after the SNP’s controversial hate crime laws came into force on Monday, the Harry Potter author posted pictures of 10 high-profile trans people and ridiculed their claims to be women.

Free Speech Union
Jack Walters in GB News ( Free speech hotline set up to help Scots who get in 'trouble' with Yousaf's hate law April) reports;
An advocacy body has launched a helpline for anyone arrested or contacted by Police Scotland after controversial hate crime legislation was rolled out north of the border.
The Free Speech Union, headed up by conservative commentator Toby Young, claimed the organisation acquired an additional 1,000 Scottish members last week.
Scotland's Hate Crime and Public Order Act was enacted on April 1.
FSU signed a deal with legal firm Levy & McRae [to] fund them to represent free speech cases arising from the new legislation.

Stonewall U Turn
And it appears that Stonewall may think that none of us should be prosecuted after all! Dennis Kavanagh explains care of EDI Jester:
Alfred Kinsey
Thanks to one of the wonderful readers for referring me to a longer documentary on the above child abusing sexologist who can be seen as one of the inspirations behind gender ideology and thanks to EDI Jester for then providing a shorter form of that documentary. Chilling and very disturbing stuff! And note mention of his disciple, John Money. I am not going to do them any credit by putting Doctor before their names!
The Times
Thanks as ever to my mate, Fingers for cuttings from The Times. I have chosen just one to bring to you today.
James Beal (Gender clinics ‘nowhere near ready’ 02 April) reports:
New NHS gender identity clinics for young people are “understaffed“ and “nowhere, near ready”, it was claimed yesterday as they started taking on patients.
A London hub, alongside a second in the northwest, will begin to see patients this week as they replaced the Gender Identity Development Service (Gids) at the Tavistock and Portman NHS Foundation Trust. The Gids clinic was ordered to close after a review by Dr Hilary Cass found it was “not a safe or viable long-term option.”
However, whistleblowers described as senior staff at Gids have expressed concerns about the preparedness and expertise of the new houbs. One, who spoke to the i newspaper under the condition of anonymity, said: “ It’s been shoddy, disorganised, messy and unclear. And at times, it’s felt unsafe.”
Last year NHS England announced it would be closing the Gids clinic in North London following the Cass report. The clinic was also given an “inadequate” rating by the Care Quality Commission. Cass said a “fundamentally different” approach to treating children and young people with gender dysphoria was needed, amid significant concerns about the use of hormone treatments.
NHS England promised two new centres, with regional hubs to follow.
Great Ormond Street Hospital worked with the Evelina London Children’s Hospital and the South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust to pilot one of the first hubs. They are opening a year later than planned.
Some clinicians fear that the new hubs are insufficiently prepared to cope with the size and complexity of the cases, or the waiting list. They claim the handover of patient files has been “last minute” and are said to be baffled by a drop in numbers on the waiting list, from 7000 to 5000.
The hubs and the workers were described as “not fully staffed” and “not fully trained”. There are 17 or 18 clinical staff across both clinics, with the majority, having no experience of working with trans youth, the sources have claimed.
I am not sure if Fingers has bought a bar in Edinburgh (where I am currently) without telling me!! Wouldn’t surprise me 😂
‘Transitioning’ Children
Alexa Lardieri in The Mail Online ( EXCLUSIVE Most gender-confused children grow out of it, landmark 15-year study concludes - as critics say it shows being trans is usually just a phase for kids 03 April) reports:
The majority of gender-confused children grow out of that feeling by the time they are fully grown adults, according to a long-term study.
Researchers in the Netherlands tracked more than 2,700 children from age 11 to their mid-twenties, asking them every three years of feelings about their gender.
Results showed at the start of the research, around one-in-10 children (11 percent) expressed ‘gender non-contentedness’ to varying degrees.
But by age 25, just one-in-25 (4 percent) said they 'often' or 'sometimes' were discontent with their gender.
The researchers concluded: 'The results of the current study might help adolescents to realize that it is normal to have some doubts about one’s identity and one’s gender identity during this age period and that this is also relatively common.'

Puberty Blockers
Thanks to wonderful Feminist Legal Clinic for this piece.
New Mayo Clinic study finds mild to severe atrophy in testes of boys on puberty blockers (05
In a groundbreaking study from the Mayo Clinic, a globally recognized leader in medical research and patient care, researchers examined the effects of puberty blockers on testicular development in gender dysphoric male children. Their investigation revealed evidence of mild to severe atrophy in the sex glands of these children, leading the authors to express doubt in the claims of “reversibility” often made about puberty blockers.

Sex Matters
Congratulations to Sex Matters on achieving charity status. Their latest newsletter, Memo, is now out ( 05 April) and I am just featuring one piece from that:
Maya Forstater has written to the lady chief justice, the most senior judge in England and Wales, and the justice secretary, Alex Chalk, to highlight the behaviour of a trans-identifying judge, Victoria McCloud.
A High Court Master, McCloud published an announcement of forthcoming resignation in February, claiming that it was impossible to stay on the bench “in a dignified way”. But earlier this month the Good Law Project revealed that it was supporting McCloud to bring an intervention against a case brought by For Women Scotland that seeks to clarify the definition of sex in the Equality Act.
McCloud has repeatedly posted on LinkedIn, referring to himself as a “judge in the High Court”, to comment on matters relating to the law on sex and gender reassignment.
Maya Forstater said in the letter that McCloud was “engaging publicly and inappropriately in debates on sex and gender” and that the judge’s posts on social media demonstrate “hostility against people with gender-critical beliefs”.
Following the publication of the letter on social media, McCloud posted on LinkedIn, stating: “All complaints against me, from anyone, ever, have been unsuccessful. That includes any about to be published whatsoever.”

It seems to me that, this time around, our current Battle of Britain is within Britain itself between those in power who have been imposing gender ideology on us and the Terf Resistance.
We also need some light relief!
Dominic Frisby at Comedy Unleashed in Edinburgh on 01 April!!
And…of course… the Hate Monster turned up at Comedy Unleashed!!
Thanks for thinking of us Dusty. I tried to spot your trilby in the crowd but failed. It looked an amazing afternoon. What a star KJk is.
I’m thrilled that Sex Matters is now a charity. And it’s great that they have published the survey that shows that most young people grow out of dysphoria, that dysphoria is a normal part of growing up. I think we could have told them that but it’s fantastic to have evidence.
Have a fantastic terfy celebration this evening.
What a fabulous day for LWS; sunshine, no rain & TRAs kept in a pen. Some rousing & moving speeches & a great turnout, Dusty. Your pics are super & really capture the day. KJK & JKR both heroines. So pleased with all the good news coverage of puberty blockers & hope that’ll flush out some cowardly journalists. As for that monstrosity of a lawyer in Seattle; have you seen a bigger misogynist in your life? Love Casablanca, the actors & the songs. Many thanks for your hard work, Dusty. Much appreciated.
