I used to be undecided over Helen Webberley. I was unsure if she was actually that ignorant of fact or if she was being deliberately obtuse when challenged on her stance on child trans patients. After watching that interview/interaction on Triggernometry I am resolved to believe she is actually evil! There wasn't a moment of reflection evident on her face when she was quite logically challenged by Kelly Jay Keen or by Konstantin, not a single flicker of doubt crossed her eyes! KJK's tongue in cheek comparison to Harold Shipman was I think right on the money, the woman is a psychopath.
Some very telling revelations came out in that interview, which rang alarm bells for me not least of which is that she is a mother to 5 children! Someone who we assume nurtured her own children but is gleefully prepared to inflict untold damage on the children of others.
Secondly that her first encounter with a trans patient was when she was working as a GP and wasn't until 2015, right in the middle of the Transgender trend explosion (Cult). She has had no exposure to any kind of treatment regimes other than the "Affirmative Model". I doubt she has even read any of Zucker's work on "Watchful Waiting", simply dismissing it as transphobic!
I would have liked to see that "debate" in a slightly different and longer format. With at least two trans guests one from each side of the argument ( NOT Buck Angel🙄), in addition to Webberley and KJK to challenge the assertions from both sides and two detransitioners.
Agree with all that, Amanda apart from I think the obvious duel ....sorry debate that is now required is between Webberley and a medical professional such as Miriam Grossman or Az Hakeem which will stop her continually saying 'you're not a medical expert'.
The ending was great where Webberley said she would enjoy KJK being sent to prison and KJK gave her the same back!

The PITT piece was bang on the truth. The lies they are telling many of these patients are nothing short of cruelty. The story from the mother with the 6'4" heavily built son who thinks he will be able to move through the world as if he were a woman, if somebody would just cut his junk off.
I find it hard to fathom the cruelty these so called psychiatric professionals are inflicting on such men. Even if this young man was actually suffering with GID (which I very much doubt) any kind of medical transition is never going to help him. They re just setting him up for misery. The final and rather moving sentence by his mother that the would be there for him when he can no longer lie to himself, is I think unlikely to happen. When he can no longer lie to himself he is sadly unlikely to be alive.
Those Pitt stories are heartbreaking. It’s good that the experiences of ordinary families are being recorded in the hopes that people in the future will learn from them.
Hi Dusty, I think someone like Helen Joyce and sex matters could definitely say " I just want safe spaces for biological boys ......etc". It can simply mean that everyone is catered for fairly. Also Sophie is in a huge spotlight so she has to speak carefully. If she's clear on sports and women's spaces then the likes of Kara Dansky and Amy Souza will no doubt educate her on things she is not clear on. I'm glad they've embraced her and they probably know what they are doing by doing that. For me there is no GC royalty there are people who were in the firing line early doors who prevailed and connected with others to put boosters on the push back against 'trans' and in support of women. Everyone is focusing on Arday and it amounts to bullying. I hope he sues Cambridge University and I'm sure there'll be similar criticism of him if he does.
