Letters From Iwo Jima
Update 833. Can't Trust The King's Trust Special.#BeMorePorcupine.
The news and views continue to flood into Dusty Towers, so this is another long one, dear readers.
Onwards with the Dusty, Nicola and Moodie Film Series. Please keep the suggestions for films coming in but please check the list first which I am updating as we go along. Please send suggestions in the comments here at this link:
We previously featured Flags of our Fathers:
https://dustymasterson.substack.com/p/flags-of-our-fathers-part-1?utm_source=publication-search
Taken from the American viewpoint of the Battle of Iwo Jima, that film is a companion piece to Clint Eastwood’s Letters from Iwo Jima (2006), which depicts the same battle from the Japanese viewpoint; the two films were shot back to back.
In 1944 Iwo Jima, Private Saigo, a conscripted baker who misses his wife and newly born daughter, is digging beach trenches with his platoon when Lieutenant General Tadamichi Kuribayashi arrives to take command of the garrison. He saves Saigo from a beating by Captain Tanida for being "unpatriotic", and orders the garrison to tunnel underground defences throughout the island.
These two films are absolutely excellent. Highly recommended.
In the clip:
Ken Watanabe is General Kuribayahsi
Kazunari Niniomuya is Private First Class Saigo
Ryo Kase is Superior Private Shimizu
Takumi Bando is Captain Tanida
Thanks to four wonderful readers for suggested pieces.
Some of the linked pieces below may be behind a paywall.
UK - Education
There has been a meeting in Parliament concerning the indoctrination of children which EDI Jester discusses here and he hopes that there may be legal action (so do I).
EDI has also posted on X Suella Braverman, now of Reform, reporting on that meeting on GB News.

UK - This is not just Sex Discrimination. This is M&S Sex Discrimination.
Marks & Spencer are still prevaricating about their fitting rooms, so Sex Matters have written to them. Another legal case looms!!
M&S warned mixed-sex changing rooms could be unlawful
Mar 20, 2026
Sex Matters has written to the senior leadership of Marks & Spencer (M&S) to warn the company that its policy of advertising male and female changing rooms but then operating them as mixed-sex facilities could amount to indirect discrimination and harassment towards women. As reported by The Telegraph, our CEO, Maya Forstater, said the policy created a “hostile and humiliating environment” for women.
In one of the latest examples of companies continuing to try to get around the law nearly a year on from the Supreme Court ruling, M&S told Sex Matters that its policies have not changed for many years. Its decision to pretend that it never offered single-sex changing rooms after decades in which it did so illustrates the extent to which employers and service providers are willing to harm all women and girls rather than say No to a tiny number of men who demand to be treated as women.
We wrote to M&S chair Archie Norman, chief executive Stuart Machin and general counsel Nick Folland on 9th March, noting that until recently the company’s clothing stores had clearly labelled male and female fitting rooms but had an unadvertised policy of allowing anyone to use either changing room.
We expressed our disappointment that following judgments by the Supreme Court and the High Court which made clear that separate-sex facilities are lawful, M&S has not returned to a genuinely separate-sex policy, but instead is badging what were labelled men’s and women’s fitting rooms as “trying on” spaces. This makes them less effective, less welcoming and less safe, in particular for women.
“How astonishing that M&S, clothier to Britain’s middle-aged women, has decided that pretending no one needs single-sex changing rooms, after providing them for more than 100 years, is better than possibly having to say no to a man pretending to be a woman.”
Maya Forstater, CEO of Sex Matters
On 12th March, Nick Folland responded, stating that Sex Matters has been “misinformed” about the company’s approach to providing fitting rooms for its customers.
He said that “for many years” M&S has provided unisex spaces in the “vast majority” of its stores. He also said that “most fitting room spaces have long been signposted to customers with a generic ‘Fitting Rooms’ sign and not, as you wrongly suggest, with individual signage for women or men”.
He suggested that the new “Try On” signage is not a change of policy but part of a wider store redesign, and updates signage that used to refer to “Fitting Rooms”.
This is simply not the case.
We wrote back with pictures from several stores showing signs that refer to “Men’s Fitting Rooms” (thanks to supporters for sharing these).

UK - Women’s Pool
A larping male pool player, Harriet Haynes, who took the England Blackball Pool Federation to court last year because it restricted entry to women’s events to women, after losing in the county court, he has been granted permission to appeal. I recall great British pool player, Lynne Pinches saying that she taught her son pool and by the time he was 15 he could beat her!!!!
UK - King’s Trust Off With The Woo!!
Sam Merriman in the Daily Mail (King Charles’ youth charity cancelled boxing course for disadvantaged girls instead of banning biological males after parents raised safety concerns 19 March) reports:
The King’s flagship youth charity decided to cancel a fitness course for disadvantaged girls instead of preventing biological males from attending.
The King’s Trust was due to run a ‘Get started with Boxing and Fitness for Women’ course for girls aged 16 to 25 that was open to ‘female identifying/presenting’ people.
A concerned parent contacted King Charles’ charity to raise safeguarding concerns, including that this could have allowed a 25-year-old biological male to punch teenage girls.
But instead of limiting the course to biological women only, as the parent had requested, the King’s Trust instead decided to ‘withdraw it as an offer to young people’.
Women’s rights groups have responded with fury and demanded the King’s charity reinstate the course so that disadvantaged young women and girls can benefit from it.
The boxing course was originally launched by King’s Trust ambassador and Olympic gold medallist Nicola Adams, who has spoken in favour of protecting women’s sports for biological females.
The webpage for the free course, which has since been taken down, said it was due to take place between February 23 and 27 in Bristol.
It was open to young women and girls not in work, education or training and would have helped them gain a qualification and ‘discover your strengths, take on challenges and grow your confidence’.
After seeing the flyer, a concerned parent contacted the charity to say that it was a ‘wonderful idea’, but they were ‘appalled’ by the eligibility criteria, and demanded the course be made single sex.
The parent wrote: ‘Not only is it unfair on women and girls who want to take part and might miss out on participation because a man takes their place, it is also unsafe to allow biological males to box with/against girls and women and share their spaces including changing rooms and toilets.’
Days later, a King’s Trust employee responded with an email seen by the Mail that said: ‘In recognition of the decision of the Supreme Court, and the specific nature of the activity that this programme offers, we have taken the decision to withdraw it as an offer to young people.’
Su Wong from SEEN in Sport, which campaigns to keep women’s sports single sex, said the charity ‘would rather deny young women the chance of participating at all than possibly offend someone’.
She added: ‘The King’s Trust does incredible work but it needs to ensure that everyone throughout the charity understands that you should not use ideological language and you cannot discriminate against women and girls.
‘If it says it’s “for women”, that means it’s for women only. We urge the King’s Trust to reinstate this course so that young women get the opportunity to boost their self-confidence, physical and mental health.’
King Charles founded the Prince’s Trust (now the King’s Trust) in 1976 to provide opportunities for disadvantaged young people, and it has since helped more than a million achieve their ambitions.
Women’s rights groups recognise the good work the charity does but have called for it to reverse its decision on the boxing course.
Helen Joyce, director of advocacy at Sex Matters, said it ‘shouldn’t have taken a Supreme Court judgment’ to tell the King’s Trust that it should not allow biological males ‘to punch women for sport’.
The UK’s highest court ruled almost a year ago - in April 2025 - that sex in the Equality Act refers to biological women and men and not to self-identification or a gender recognition certificate (GRC).
Ms Joyce added: ‘It’s outrageous that a registered charity that aims to support the physical and moral development of young people and enable them to ‘become responsible members of society’ would rather remove opportunities for young women to keep fit than tell men who identify as women that their identity doesn’t give them the right to punch women.’
The King’s Trust said it had taken the decision to withdraw the course while it evaluates its programmes in light of the Supreme Court ruling.
England - This Never Happens
Thames Valley Police ( Former Metropolitan Special Constable sentenced for rape and sexual offences – Buckinghamshire and London 20 March) report:
Following an investigation by Thames Valley Police, a former Metropolitan Police Service Special Constable has been jailed for sex offences committed in Buckinghamshire and London.
Gwyn Samuels, formerly known as James Bubb, aged 28, of no fixed abode, has been sentenced to 32 years – 24 years in custody and a further eight years on licence - at Aylesbury Crown Court today (20/3), after being convicted of a number of sexual offences.
In his sentencing remarks, His Honour Judge Jonathan Cooper said that the defendant had ‘groomed’ and ‘terrorised’ the victims.
HHJ Cooper also imposed a Sexual Harm Prevention Order for life.
The defendant was found guilty of a number of offences by a jury at Aylesbury Crown Court sitting at Amersham Law Courts on 28 August last year, following a trial lasting for 12 days.
The defendant was found guilty of the following counts relating to victim one:
One count of assault of a child under 13 by penetration
One count of rape of a child under 13
One count of sexual activity with a child
One count of assault by penetration
The defendant was found guilty of the following count relating to victim two:
One count of rape
The jury found the defendant not guilty of one count of rape and one count of sexual activity with a child. Both of these counts were in relation to victim one.
At the time of the offences, the defendant identified as a male called James Bubb, but during our investigation, which was supported by the Metropolitan Police Service, changed their [ Dusty - HIS!!!!] name to Gwyn Samuels and now self-identifies as a transgender woman.

England - Vivienne Taylor
A short while ago I reported on the case of the larping male stalker known as Vivienne Taylor:
He has now finally been sent down and Julie Bindel on her substack does a great analysis of the case:
Britain’s Barbie Kardashian? The terrible case of Vivienne Taylor
If he was so mentally ill, why was he deemed fit to undergo a major, life-altering operation?
Mar 19, 2026
Vivienne Taylor, who was jailed last week for a terrifying campaign of stalking and harassment against the medic who carried out his sex change surgery, is very seriously mentally ill, and was so at the time he had his genitalia removed. I was in court to hear the judge’s sentencing remarks, including the terrifying details of Taylor’s disturbing behaviour.
Vivienne Taylor
Trans-identified Taylor walked into the dock of Isleworth Crown Court, London, wearing a baby pink jacket, his long, blond hair down his back, and full make up. When asked his name by the usher he replied, MISS Vivienne Taylor, the ‘miss’ part much louder and pronounced than the rest.
The judge who sentenced him to 21 months in prison, at Isleworth crown court, was left in no doubt of that. Taylor, 28, has been diagnosed with severe personality disorder, and narcissistic disorder. He is also autistic and exhibits a rare psychiatric condition known as erotic delusional disorder – believing that his victim is in love with him and wants to have sex with him.
These mental illnesses are longstanding and existed prior to Taylor’s two ‘gender reassignment surgeries’, which involved the amputation of his genitals and the fashioning of a false vagina, all done on the NHS.
Many people will feel, as I do, that a compulsion to undergo a so-called sex change is evidence in itself of profound mental illness.
But Taylor’s conditions were broader and more extreme than gender dysphoria, the delusion of being trapped in a body of the wrong sex. He (and unlike the court, I insist on using the biologically correct pronouns) was patently far too ill to give informed consent for such a major medical procedure.
Julie concludes:
Though his traumatic upbringing does not excuse his crimes, it’s obvious that Taylor has been very badly let down by the medical system.
His profound mental illness should have been recognised. Whatever flimsy safeguards exist have failed. He reminds me of the extremely dangerous Barbie Kardashian. I can’t see how Taylor will be fit to be released in the future, bearing in mind how his delusions have been pandered to. How many more men like him are there? The victim of gender lunacy, turned perpetrator, and deeply psychotic.
The NHS has allowed ‘trans rights’ to blind it to all other considerations. It’s madness... and it’s very dangerous.

The States - Round Up
Two good round ups from Kara Dansky, the second actually featuring a bonkers case from Canada.
In the first one: It looks like the International Olympic Committee are finally going to ban larping men from women’s sports for the Olympics but some trans rights groups are busy having a meltdown ( see further below); Terf groups are fighting against a bill in Sacramento; and, behind the paywall, the Democrats have blocked a bill aiming to establish an American Women’s History Museum…….because it didn’t include men, of course!!!!!!!
In the second one: more from Mabel from Trenton ( we recently reported on Mabel here: https://dustymasterson.substack.com/p/falling-down-i-want-a-breakfast?utm_source=publication-search ); a New York Times piece about mass shooters that gets the sexes slightly mixed up!; and, behind the paywall, a recent decision out of a Canadian court, ruling that a city properly denied a group’s application to post an ad in city transit, declaring that a woman is an adult human female. Apparently, the dictionary definition of “woman” is “narrow and exclusionary, and does not acknowledge the lived experiences of transgender and non-binary individuals who identify as women.”
Here is the outrageous ad!!!!!!!!!
Olympics - The Politics of Inversion
As mentioned above some ‘trans rights’ groups are jumping up and down about the IOC’s apparent aim of kicking larping men out of women’s sports at the Olympics. On his substack, Andrew Doyle addresses this issue:
The politics of inversion
Human rights campaigners are claiming that keeping men out of women’s sports is an attack on women’s rights.
Mar 19, 2026
Most successful politicians are adept at linguistic sleight-of-hand. I am not talking here about outright lies, but rather the twisting of the truth through wordplay. One of the most striking examples was the US military spokesman during the Vietnam War who described a bombing raid as having ‘obtained a 100 per cent mortality response’. This verbal formulation certainly sounds much more palatable than the reality it describes.
While we might call this rhetorical prestidigitation, there is also another technique – one that is becoming increasingly common in today’s culture wars – that is best described as rhetorical inversion, or the practice of simply asserting the precise opposite of the truth. We saw an example only this week, when more than eighty human rights and sports advocacy groups responded to the International Olympic Committee’s plans to ban male athletes from competing in women’s sports. Andrea Florence, executive director of the Sport & Rights Alliance, argued that such a ban would be a ‘catastrophic erosion of women’s rights and safety’.
Florence’s statement is a clear example of inversion: a policy which preserves the integrity of women’s sport is recast as a threat to it. Testing an athlete’s sex through a non-invasive cheek swab is hardly a civil rights violation, and keeping men out of women’s sports should be the bare minimum required for the preservation of ‘women’s rights and safety’.
One is reminded of when Humza Yousaf, at the time Justice Secretary of the SNP, introduced his authoritarian Hate Crime and Public Order Bill. Although the bill made it possible for citizens to be prosecuted for speech uttered in the privacy of their own homes, Yousaf claimed that the new legislation ‘does not undermine free speech’ but ‘protects it’. Rather than making a serious case for the bill, he simply pretended that its outcomes would be the opposite of those intended.
All of this makes it look as though these people simply do not care if the public know that they are lying. Yet there are good reasons why identitarian ideologues such as Florence and Yousaf prefer outright inversions of the truth than subtle misrepresentations. Their worldview is rooted in the postmodernist conviction that reality is subordinate to language, rather than the other way around. To make something true, therefore, one need only assert it.
This explains why the likes of Yousaf see censorship as ‘progressive’, and that the basic human emotion of hatred can be eliminated if its verbal expression is stymied. It also explains why genderists who have been unable to persuade the public that sex is mutable have resorted to fact-free assertions in lieu of actual arguments.
Dusty - Another inversion is some of these groups describing themselves as human rights advocates!!!

Trans Kills
We have, of course, consistently covered the mass shootings by larping men ( and the occasional larping woman!) but it is useful to have it laid out again by Pamela Garfied Jaeger on her substack:
Trans Ideology Kills
Let’s stop pretending it doesn’t
Mar 18, 2026
This piece originally ran for Human Events on 2/19/26
There has been another deadly shooting by a trans-identified male, this time in Rhode Island, resulting in three deaths, including the gunman. Less than a week earlier, nine people were killed in Canada by a male shooter who identified as female. The perpetrators shot at family members and strangers in cold blood before taking their own lives. These incidents follow a disturbing pattern of shooters that includes Audrey Hale in Nashville in 2023, Robert/Robin Westman in Minneapolis in 2025, the alleged shooter of Charlie Kirk in Utah, Tyler James Robinson, who reportedly had a trans/furry partner, and so many others in recent years.
Trans activists and their supporters insist on denying this pattern of violence, but reality is increasingly difficult to ignore. There has been a noticeable uptick in mass shooters connected to gender ideology. Wikipedia may publish pages dismissing concerns about “misinformation” related to trans violence, but the pattern is visible to anyone willing to look honestly.
We are repeatedly told that “gender-affirming care is life-saving care”, and most of the medical and psychological establishment continues to endorse this claim. The American Academy of Pediatrics still supports gender transition for minors. Planned Parenthood widely distributes cross-sex hormones and continues to promote the message that people must transition or they will die. Planned Parenthood’s own social media states, “Gender-affirming care literally saves lives.” Yet in the case of “Roberta” Dorgan, this so-called “life-saving care” did not prevent three untimely deaths, including his own.
At the same time, the trans movement claims that trans-identified people are facing a “genocide,” a narrative that many radicalized individuals have accepted as fact. But ordinary people can see what is actually happening: trans-identified individuals are disproportionately involved in these violent acts.

The Trevor Project
The Trevor Project is, according to their website, “the leading suicide prevention and crisis intervention non profit organisation for LGBTQ+ young people.” Meanwhile, as Malcolm Clark posts on X, a young gay man who was on wrong sex hormones, and was beginning to doubt what he was doing and feeling suicidal, phoned the Trevor Project and they put the phone down on him!!

M and S are a disgrace, as is any female sport which allows males to participate. But for a King Charles charity to have to ‘evaluate its programmes’ in the light of the Supreme Court ruling, is beneath contempt. Ffs, it’s so obvious that they are desperate to include men in order to disadvantage women , they may as well just announce it with a megaphone- Women Don’t Matter! What’s so hard to decide. And boxing of all sports!
The NHS is no better for operating on such a disturbed and unstable man (and using public money to do it). And there’s no way women should be members of any of the usual unions, they’re all leftie misogynists without a brain cell between them. Join the Free Speech Union instead. For evidence see the link in the Andrew Doyle piece- the missing link springs to mind🦧
Thanks Dusty.
