It's Moving Towards You!!
Update 502. Violence Against Women and Girls Special. #BeMore Porcupine
I am back from my Northern training which seemed to go very well ( even though I am now retired I will still be delivering very sporadic bits of training). I like an event where the attendees get involved and good discussions get going rather than the trainer just droning on for ages and there were excellent questions and discussions. I feel very sorry for employees who are obliged to attend gender ideology or similar training ( I hasten to add that my training was nothing to do with this!) and who often feel too worried to say anything, make any objections or voice any disagreements. Anyway…. back to (different) business…
As we move into 2025 I will be featuring, to start with, and in alphabetical order, those Readers’ Choices for best film ever that did not make the top seven ( see Update 500 for the top seven).
Next up is Alien 1.
A monstrous alien is loose on the commercial space tug, Nostromo ( nice hat tip to Jospeh Conrad’s novel of that name for Conrad fans like me 😄). The captain, Dallas, goes into the ventilation shafts to find it.
In this clip Tom Skerritt is Dallas, Sigourney Weaver is Ripley, Veronica Cartwright is Lambert, Ian Holm is Ash and Yaphet Kotto is Parker. In this clip Lambert says ‘let’s abandon the ship!’ Well, with the benefit of hindsight 🤣
Thanks to three wonderful readers for suggested pieces.

Grooming Gangs Scandal
As I said in my last update, this matter is outside the remit of this substack , so I will make one final video recommendation ( an interview with the wonderful whistle blower,Maggie Oliver), a further reference to Matt Goodwin’s substack and also a reference to Kellie-Jay and Let Women Speak going to Oldham this Saturday ( my wife and I can’t make this unfortunately).

Australia - Puberty Blockers
Bernard Lane records on his substack, Gender Clinic News a fightback in Queensland agains the prescription of puberty blockers to children.
Puberty blockers still a worry
Queensland's government has been prompted to reject plans for a gender clinic expansion following contradictory media coverage of the issue
Jan 07, 2025
The new centre-right Liberal National Party government in the Australian state of Queensland has reaffirmed concerns about puberty blockers and put on the record its rejection of the former Labor administration’s plan to expand the state’s gender clinic.
“We do not support the expansion of gender services for children in Queensland,” Deputy Premier Jarrod Bleijie said on Sunday, adding that the state health department had been told to “halt any further delivery” on the recommendations of an audit of the clinic appointed by Labor in 2023.
“Our priority is safeguarding children and ensuring they receive appropriate and balanced care,” Mr Bleijie said.
Also on Sunday, LNP Health Minister Tim Nicholls reiterated concerns expressed when the party was in opposition about the gender clinic and especially puberty blockers “in light of evidence that’s coming in from around the world.”
Puberty blockers, licensed to treat the medical condition of precocious (or premature) puberty, are used off-label by gender clinics to suppress the normally timed puberty of children as young as age 10-12 who reject their birth sex, identify as transgender or non-binary and express distress about going through “the wrong puberty.”
There is no good quality evidence that puberty blockers improve the mental health of these children, according to independent systematic reviews of the scientific literature, and there is no long-term safety data.
Dusty - it is disappointing that the comprehensive Cass Review is still not being fully accepted in some parts of the world.

A Message from Radical Cartoons
An interesting discussion on her substack from Let Women Speak stalwart, Stella aka Radical Cartoons.
In 2025 we must say, "No More".
Decades of pandering to porn-sick men and paedophiles cannot continue.
Jan 05, 2025
(Grumpy Gargoyle Speaks, from my website radicalcartoons.com)
I am old enough to remember when Mary Whitehouse (1910-2001) a Christian anti-porn campaigner, was demonised and abused. Back in the 1960s and 70s she was called an eccentric, racist, frigid, man-hating Hag, who was just trying to spoil men’s fun. Sounds familiar?
Exactly as today, our most outspoken Women's Rights champion Kellie-Jay Keen, is described by HER opponents, male and female. (Both women married - shock, to men! - who had children, by the way).
(Oh yes, today “Nazi" is added to the terms of abuse).
Thanks to Mary's campaigning, two new words entered the language- “top-shelf”, as in “top-shelf magazines”, meaning the placing of porn magazines on Newsagents top shelves, so as not to be at the eye level of small children.
And “watershed”, as in “ the 9pm watershed" - a time limit she persuaded TV channels to impose, before which programs with sex and violence couldn't be broadcast.
These achievements might seem modest today, when children live in a world saturated with porn, and can access it with a click on their Smartphones, (or more likely, someone else's, who is busy grooming them).
When even their kiddies programmes and school lessons introduce them to adult, often unnecessarily perverted, concepts of sexuality. And the myth of gender-identity.
Today Women's Rights campaigners are engaged in an existential fight to save our rights to our private spaces, our language, our sports, our history, our cultural achievements, protecting children along the way.
Rights which, we only have to look to the abandonment by the West of the women of Afghanistan to realise, can be lost overnight, on the whim of individual politicians.
5 years ago I was cancelled from the Morning Star (still with no public apology or right of reply) for what became known in Terf circles as “the crocodile cartoon".
Here's my open right of reply, published on various pro-women platforms:
https://uncommongroundmedia.com/stella-perrett-right-of-reply-morning-star/
I was visually expressing a truth to power which everyone knew at the time, but were afraid to mention, in their champagne-socialist circles. For fear of offending their male friends-in-frocks.
But even the ‘out' Terfs, brave though they undoubtedly are, still struggle to voice the truth about the core drivers of Transgender Ideology, which has been imposed on us (overtly) over the last 10 years: Porn (far worse than the Lad's Mags of Mrs Whitehouse’s day,) and Paedophilia.

The Wild Robot
Alline Cormier on Jennifer Bilek’s substack looks at a lovely film for children. Or, on further analysis, is it really so lovely?
The Wild Robot erases females from motherhood
Jan 07, 2025
In my review of I Am Mother (2019) I wrote the film gave me the disturbing impression that the filmmakers might believe an AI droid could raise a child as well as a human mother. It presents a vision of anti-reality in which women are not crucial to the development of embryos and fetuses. In this vision, it is possible to bypass women in creating babies completely. Disturbing as it is, I Am Mother is rated TV-14. The Wild Robot, rated PG, is a children’s movie set in the not-so-distant future and the vision it presents is an anti-reality in which females are not crucial to motherhood. It has very little to offer female viewers and raises lots of questions.
For those who have had their head in the sand about the gender industry for the last four years and also ignored the research being conducted in AI, technological reproduction and womb implants into men, The Wild Robot may simply look like DreamWorks’ latest cutesy, entertaining movie. But for those of us who haven’t looked away from the gender industry, a close examination of The Wild Robot raises red flags. Marketed as progressive, this industry is nevertheless engendering the erasure of women legally and socially and the attack on material reality generally, as well as destroying families. And even though The Wild Robot is visually beautiful and it was a rare treat to watch a movie full of forest and marine animals, I wondered whether it was the latest propaganda tool in the gender industry’s unrelenting campaign against women and material reality. Besides having little to offer the female audience, the movie encourages children to love robots and consider females as inferior to AI droids when it comes to motherhood. Moreover, it presents non-family members (‘chosen family’) as more loving than one’s biological family.

Violence Against Women and Girls
Kat Highsmith writes about this issue with regard to the so called ‘trans rights movement’ on her substack.
Where Is the Anger at the Men?
The Lack of Vitriol Speaks Volumes
Jan 08, 2025
Everyone who is familiar with the “trans” agenda, its followers, and their tactics is most likely aware of the levels of violence and anger that are directed toward the women who do not acquiesce to their stupid demands.
It is considered acceptable to carry signs in public which say “Decapitate TERFs.”
TERF, of course, is meant as a slur though I personally love it because it inspires anger in men and their handmaidens, which means it is doing something right. It is also factually correct since “trans” should be excluded because it does not exist.
I use it on purpose to reclaim it and provoke a reaction, which is easy to do because “trans” agenda defenders are irrational and unstable.
“Gender critical” is simply not sufficient because “gender” as a term has no application to humans. It isn’t enough to just criticize “gender.” I say it’s irrelevant.
In addition to decapitation, men routinely proclaim their intention to commit acts of violence against women who say NO to them, in public and on social media.

Rape Crisis England and Wales and other groups have sent a letter to the Prime Minister expressing concern over possible redundancies and even closure of centres caused by the proposed increase in employers’ national insurance and reduction of funds for Police and Crime Commissioners. EDI Jester highlights this and asks people to write to their local MP.
Sarah Holman
Sarah Holman eventually resigned from Bracknell Forest Council after complaining about their ‘trans policies’ and related issues. She is now taking a tribunal claim against them. Please consider supporting her.

It sounds very much like we're on the same page when it comes to teaching/training, Dusty. It should be a learning experience for the group *and* the leader. I've never found it impossible to fit in at least a few questions, even in a lecture, and frequently had to think hard about the answers (even resorting to "I don't know, but I'll find out and let you know" on some occasions!
I wish I could be in Oldham this weekend, but family comes first.
I hadn't thought about Mary Whitehouse for a long time until two or three years ago, when I found myself having to re-evaluate what I thought I knew about her. I was but a callow youth when she was at the height of her notoriety, and it never occurred to me to do any fact-checking. Mary was obviously a very intelligent and clear thinker, and a worthy honorary TERF.
I'm glad I'm not the only one concerned by "The Wild Robot". I came away from it feeling like I'd been manipulated. It is as if the studio was practicing sleight-of-hand on the audience; "Look over here, there's nothing happening over there". There were mothers of animal species, but they were not as good as the anthropomorphic robot at bringing up their young. The message it sent to me was "Mothering/parenting is a series of tasks that can't be done properly by messy flesh and blood." It won't be going into my list of favourite movies!
Lastly, it continues to amaze me how men - even you and I - are not told to go away and boil our heads by women we interact with. There should be much more anger directed to men in general.
Right - shutting up now!
