The For Women Scotland Judgment - The Aftermath
I presume that larping female judge ( retired) Victoria McCloud has been told that his attempt to appeal the judgment to the European Court of Human Rights is completely hopeless, so now he has come up with a new beezer idea as reported by Feminist Legal Clinic ( via Pink News!!!!!!):
Retired judge calls for international review into UK’s trans rights rollback (01 July)
The UK’s only out transgender judge has called for independent genocide prevention groups to investigate the “systemic oppression” of trans people.
Retired high court judge Dr Victoria McCloud asked international not-for-profit organisations Genocide Watch and The Lemkin Institute to review attacks on trans rights by the UK government and public bodies.
Fortunately, EDI Jester is on hand to explain to ( Head In The ) McCloud exactly what ‘genocide ‘ means:
UK - Kristie Higgs
I reported on Kristie Higgs’ success before the Court of Appeal here:
https://dustymasterson.substack.com/p/leaving-las-vegas-part-1?utm_source=publication-search
Amazingly, the school sought leave to appeal to the Supreme Court (!!!) but they have been refused permission, as reported here by the Free Speech Union in their latest newsletter ( 01 July):
Seven-year legal battle ends in victory for free speech
With the help of the FSU, a major free speech victory has been confirmed after the Supreme Court refused to hear a final appeal in the case of Farmor’s School v Kristie Higgs. It brings to a close a long saga that has clarified the legal protections for employees who express ‘controversial’ beliefs.
The saga began in 2018 when a parent at Farmor’s secondary school in Gloucestershire complained about Ms Higgs’s “prejudiced” posts on Facebook. In them, the school’s pastoral administrator criticised the introduction of materials which she believed would “indoctrinate” children to believe “that gender is a matter of choice, not biology”.
Following the complaint – and even though she’d used her maiden name on Facebook and didn’t identify her employer – the school decided her posts could damage its reputation and began a disciplinary process. This included a six-hour interrogation during which Ms Higgs’s Christian beliefs were likened to those of a “pro-Nazi right-wing extremist”.
She was then dismissed for bringing Farmor’s into disrepute – setting the stage for a protracted legal battle which culminated in February with a Court of Appeal ruling in her favour. In finding that Ms Higgs had been unlawfully discriminated against, the Court affirmed that employers cannot rely on speculative reputational harm or third-party offence to justify the dismissal of staff who express protected views (in this case, gender-critical ones) in private settings.
The Supreme Court’s refusal to reopen proceedings now cements that judgment as a binding legal precedent.
The FSU, which intervened in the appeal hearing, welcomes the decision as a significant win for all who value free speech and intellectual diversity in the workplace.

UK - Lindsey Smith
On her substack, Sarah Phillimore updates us about this case against the Chief Constable of the Northumbria Constabulary:
Lindsey Smith's application for Judicial Review against Northumbria Police
If successful, this has implications that go way beyond just one police force and will force acceptance that the police cannot embrace a highly contested political ideology and expect to be trusted.
Jun 29, 2025
On 23rd May 2025 Hill J gave Lindsey Smith permission to bring her claim in judicial review against the Chief Constable of Northumbria Police, and ordered it be heard before this year’s Pride event, which is due to take place on 19/20 July 2025. The court hearing will be on 9/10th July.
Smith brought the legal action as she is a lesbian with ‘gender critical views’ and she asserts that Northumbria Police has previously discriminated against her. She wants the court to declare that the police force should not actively participate in Pride activities as to do so is a breach of the police’s duty to act impartially, by embracing a highly contested political ideology that seeks to elevate ‘gender identity’ in law as more important than biological sex.

UK - The Capture of Ofcom
The Office of Communications, commonly known as Ofcom, is the government-approved regulatory and competition authority for the broadcasting, internet, telecommunications and postal industries of the United Kingdom.
SEEN In Journalism on their substack, explain how Ofcom have been captured by the Gender Woo!
Defenders of untruth - why is Ofcom so captured?
Outdated thinking based on outdated research - and a refusal to review it
Jun 15, 2025
Last year Ofcom refused to criticise the BBC for lying about the sex of murderer and cat liquidiser Scarlet Blake. Last week, in response to the Supreme Court ruling, it implied that it would breach the European Convention on Human Rights if Ofcom told UK broadcasters they won’t be penalised for accuracy on biological sex.
An extraordinary response. In between the two, there was a change in leadership - a new head of Broadcasting Standards - and the ultimate legal ruling was handed down, that sex is biological.
But everything changes, everything stays the same. Ofcom will not be revisiting its policy.
Let’s recap Scarlet Blake. First on BBC Online, then in a prime BBC TV national bulletin, the murder and cat liquidiser was called a woman without qualification. There was public anger, and Baroness Nicolson and Seen in Journalism were among those who wrote to Ofcom to ask what they were playing at.
Ofcom maintained to Baroness Nicolson that 'overall accuracy' was not affected because referencing biological sex accurately isn’t necessary for material to be duly accurate.
Here’s the excuse it cited at the time for this misogynistic, irrational position. So we asked them more about it.
Ofcom claims this research - then three years old, now nearly four years old, indicates that the general public would find ‘misgendering’ Scarlet Blake to be unacceptable, and potentially offensive or transphobic.
The research included a qualitative strand involving four LGBT focus groups by ‘self-identified gender’, with in depth interviews of ‘five non-binary people’ and ‘five transgender people’.
There were no feminist focus groups or in depth interviews, despite the fact that by 2021 this was an enormously contentious issue. Capture was built in from the start.

Australia - Michelle Telfer
Readers will recall that Justice Strum in the Re Devin case severely criticised the evidence of the mother’s expert, Dr Telfer of the Royal Children’s Hospital, Melbourne:
On his substack, Gender Clinic News Bernard Lane looks at the individual, Burchell Wilson, who is taking a formal complaint against Dr Telfer - we reported on this here:
https://dustymasterson.substack.com/p/freedom-or-death?utm_source=publication-search
He also discusses Dr Telfer further.
Top gender doctor faces complaint
A concerned citizen has called for a regulatory investigation of the conduct of Australian paediatrician Michelle Telfer
Jun 29, 2025
The naming of Australia’s most influential gender clinician, Michelle Telfer, as the target of strong judicial criticism has led to a complaint against her lodged with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency.
Referencing adverse findings against Dr Telfer in a puberty blocker case decided by Family Court Justice Andrew Strum, the complaint to the regulator cites “alleged breaches of professional standards, potential professional misconduct, and failure to provide sufficient informed consent to patients”.
“I was quite disturbed when I saw the Family Court case and the findings [that were] made,” Burchell Wilson, who sent the complaint in mid-June, told GCN. He said gender medicine seemed “highly ideological”.
He said he had no personal stake in the issue, but was troubled as a citizen about the relatively recent surge in minors seeking medical transition, and the fact that many have mental health problems and autism as co-morbidities, and are unlikely to be capable of informed consent.
“Kids are mixed up, they cotton on to things, and if they’ve got co-pathologies, those should probably be examined ahead of any referral to irreversible medical treatment,” he said.
“I suspect a significant portion of these kids are just gay and confused.”
Mr Wilson watched the ABC Australian Story program that showcased Dr Telfer in 2021, and he came away with the impression that she genuinely believes gender medicine is beneficial.
“I suppose that’s concerning in and of itself, because she’s heavily invested in this emotionally and professionally, and whether that clouds her judgment is a real concern,” he said.
A financial adviser who used to be chief economist at the Australian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Mr Wilson admitted he had “limited understanding” of the gender clinic debate, but said he just wants “the people in charge to look at this issue”.
Apart from the protection of minors, he said, “there is a significant amount of taxpayers’ resources involved here, and that demands accountability.”
Well done, Mr Wilson!

Australia - ACON
ACON is the Aids Council of New South Wales though nowadays they are more like the Trans and Queer Council! Taking direct influence from Stonewall, they have set up their version of a diversity champions scheme, a grift that brings them in shed loads of money. In the third episode of a series called Desexing Society, Stassja Frei and Kit Kowalski look at how ACON has infiltrated the Australian Broadcasting Corporation (ABC) and many, many other Government departments and organisations.

Coming Out
In a very entertaining piece on LGB Voices, Claire explains why coming out as ‘gender critical’ was much more difficult than coming out as bisexual!
Coming Out as Gender Critical
Jun 27, 2025
It was only a little over a year ago, at the tender age of 30 years old, when I came out as bisexual and announced my same-sex relationship. What was the most intense and revelatory romance of my life was found to be practically boring for, well… almost everyone. Though it was not so long ago that this moment would have been rife with drama, it would not be crazy to say that society has mostly accepted same-gender (ahem, same-sex) attraction.
As easy as it was to announce my same-sex relationship, coming out as gender critical could not have been more different.
Beginnings
I’ve known I was gender critical since I first realized that boys were different from girls. This moment is hard to pin down, as I was quite young, but I think you get the picture. In high school I tried to deny this and attempted to fit in with compulsory queer activism. I once or twice even repeated the dogma, “transwomen are women,” but underneath it all I knew I didn’t believe. There was something different between me and boys (and me and boys who wanted to be girls.) I just had to do some digging to figure it out. This involved investigative measures such as looking at boys and men, looking at women and girls, and observing their differences. For example, I noticed that one had breasts and a vagina and XX chromosomes that were innate, and one did not. One had biology built around the capacity to give birth, and one did not. One had penises that didn’t come from surgery, one one did not. It seemed to me like those differences meant we lived life differently.

Thanks Dusty. Lots of positive news at the moment but the theme of these two updates seems to be that the only way that sanity is going to reassert itself is via court cases. It shouldn’t have to be that way, you’d think that reality might have the upper hand without having it enforced through the courts. Just shows how many virtue signalling nutcases there are in the world. If nothing else, this episode has at least alerted the rest of us to this fact so that we’ll at least be better prepared for the next episode. 🤞

Disappointed to read that you suggest that EDI Jester sensibly comments on ‘genocide’. I found him to be rather smug and self satisfied. I suspect Noam Chomsky might be a better source for us all.
