Yes, I DO HAVE a VERY relevant personal story! A few years ago, I ran for Mayor of my small hometown. I'm a life-long Independent voter. I couldn't let the rich, country-club-Wall St. bureaucrat Democrat run unopposed. I had no realistic chance of getting more votes. And I had no budget on my Social Security Disability income. But I'm a friendly guy, and "retail politics" comes easily for me. What could go wrong? Well, the local Democrat party dirty tricks machine kicked into high gear against me. No, I'm not exaggerating, or mis-characterizing what happened. When the young local newspaper reporter called me to get some juicy quotes, I told him clearly that he should not just cherry-pick bits & pieces of the truth, and twist and spin them to make me look like the bad guy. When the story ran, the headline read: "Mayoral Candidate Subject to Protective Orders.".
2 individuals were cited, but not named or identified.One was even actually quoted. He was a well-known cop in a nearby town. The other guy was actually working for the City as a supposed "homeless outreach worker". Over the previous 2 years, they had both, independent of each other, gone to Court and LIED. They both claimed that I had done and said things that I absolutely did not do or say. They both committed perjury under oath in Court. They lied more believably than I could tell the simple truth. They got the Judge to believe their lies, and issue bogus "protective orders" against me. The "joke" of it was, I wanted nothing to do with them in the first place! And I was ignoring them, in the first place! It was a bizarre, surreal, Kafka nightmare experience! What makes the whole thing even more outrageous, was that they were BOTH fired from their jobs FOR CAUSE, for even more outrageous, if not in fact criminal antics! But the damage to my reputation had been done. The "cop" later even had his badge & gun taken away., and will never again work in law enforcement, for bad behavior unrelated to myself. The other guy also got himself in deep trouble with other more serious incidents that I wasn't involved in. Our Court system is a broken joke. It's too often used and manipulated as a weapon of abuse, instead of the tool for justice as it should be. So unless you know the whole story, be wary of the news. No hurry, no worry, Dusty. "Terf" is a relatively new word for me. I generally don't like to take sides, join groups, use labels, etc., - I'm a life-long registered Independent voter. Reject the bogus "right-left", "liberal-conservative" non-existent charade of a "political spectrum", - it's PSY OP puppet strings. But, my father specifically raised me to be a "true gentleman", a protector of women, children, the aged, disabled, etc. So, yes, I'm a TERF. So-called "trans women" are men. Full stop. Women deserve my protection of their female only, "non-trans" safe spaces. That's how I see it.....
As for the issue of "protection orders", isn't the case at issue here in U.K.?....
British/English Courts are VERY different from U.K., despite obvious common roots.
From direct personal experience, I KNOW how incompetent, crooked & corrupt the courts are. Full of liars, cheats, thieves. Last year, up North in my home State, a woman got a "protective order" against her dangerous, violent, soon-to-be ex-husband. When he found out, he went to her workplace, shot & killed her, then committed suicide. Huge case, huge news coverage, huge controversy, because it shone a spotlight on the incompetent, crooked, and corrupt legal/court system, including law local enforcement. Turns out, cops knew of the guys threat level, but failed to act. And yes, ALL of this is background, to the story you're presenting here....We simply don't know enough of the relevant details, to judge fairly. Maybe the guy is "safe", and wrongly & harshly judged. Maybe she's vindictive or crazy. Yes, women LIE in court all the time, to weaponize the courts as punishment against the innocent -ex. Men lie about the women. Etc., etc., etc., IT'S a BIG MESS!....
The way I see it, your Substack, your coverage of this story, your comment section, my TRUTHS written here, it's all part of THE GOOD WORK....

I simply don't know enough details about Royce White situation to say anything definitive, or intelligent. But I have learned that an open mind, and not jumping to conclusions, is often best policy. the perceived truth can change greatly, as new facts & evidence appears....and truth can be made to look like lies, and lies made to look like truth....//....the little bit of my story, is only a little bit. Aside from any allegations against Mr White or Mr Kanter it just seems a bit odd to me backing two men as central in what is a women's rights issue but I know a lot of Terfs think it's a cracking idea, so I am definitely outvoted!!
