“My first cancellation happened around three years ago when I pointed out to an extremely high-profile casting director that a video he shared on Twitter had been heavily edited, making it look like a trans-identified male was being attacked by security. In fact, the unedited video showed that the male had initiated the aggression and was being physically removed from the venue to protect the women attending the event.

I’m not quite sure what I was expecting but, being neurodivergent and very attached to the truth, it felt important to inform the casting director that he’d been duped. I imagined he’d look at the unedited video, realise his mistake, we’d laugh, he’d delete it and we’d all move on, grateful that we hadn’t spread misinformation and fanned the flames of an already volatile situation.

What in fact followed was like that scene in a zombie movie, where the protagonist knocks something over and the dead-eyed horde suddenly turns as one, sensing fresh meat. The unbridled glee with which the casting director’s acolytes immediately started tearing me apart was horrifying. I was called transphobic, bigoted, hate-filled. I was told my hatred of this most vulnerable section of society whose very existence was being erased by hags like me was “sickening”.

At that point, I decided to unpack my mini-shovel and dig myself a even deeper hole by trying to explain that I didn’t hate trans people at all, I just didn’t believe humans can change sex. And with that, the final nail in the coffin of my blossoming comedy acting career was hammered resolutely in. I was openly told I was finished, that I’d got on the wrong side of one of the most influential casting directors in the country and ‘good luck having a career after that’. I was privately sent rape threats and threats of other, really quite creative, acts of violence.

Then my agent was contacted by multiple people and told that if she didn’t drop me her career would also be over. As a small, reasonably new agent I suppose she didn’t really have much choice, and our contract was ended. I was essentially blacklisted. One of the most disturbing parts of it was how my fellow actors responded. People, who only hours before, had been happily gushing at me like a broken platitude hydrant were now energetically distancing themselves from me.

In poker, suckers are known as 'fish'. They don’t know the odds, don’t grasp the dynamics, and push in their chips on bluffs that make no sense. But they’re valuable to the table because they keep the money flowing. The longer they stay in, the bigger the other stacks grow. Poker players don't make their living off each other; they make their living off the fish.

A fan who attended comedian Richard Herring’s recent Northampton show sent me a letter that, I have to say, cheered me up no end. Herring, a fellow poker player and once a friend, walked on stage thinking he was playing a home game—familiar faces, predictable hands, no real risk. But when he made what he thought was a fairly standard bet on sex being a spectrum, and men being women if they say so, the room went cold. My friend’s description of the evening is familiar to anyone who's watched a once-loved performer lose the room, not because they took a risk—Herring doesn’t take risks—but because they fell into lockstep with suddenly outdated dogma.

Herring had the audience with him for the first half-hour. Then, apropos of nothing, he launched into his lecture on gender. He told the crowd that sex is a spectrum, that some people are born with two penises, or both sets of genitals, and that what made him a man was how he felt in his head. This was met with a sudden, venue-sized silence.

Then, he rolled out one of his regular jokes, which compares me to Hitler. I guess it must have once killed for it to still turn up in his act, because I heard about the joke a couple of years ago. In it, I feature in a list of evil “one-balled men” in which he includes his own name for cover. Aside from “a few scattered whoops”, the audience fell silent and waited for the moment to pass. But it never did. The mood had shifted.

“Inevitably, I thought of the perfect heckle about 5 minutes after I could have used it” my informer told me. “When he said that being a man was in his head, I should have shouted 'bollocks' into the silence. So annoyed with myself.”

The States - Another Legal Case!

Detransitioner, 20, is suing Planned Parenthood for ‘rushing her into transgender hormones and surgery’ that she says distorted her genitals and left her covered with hair (03 June)

A 20-year-old woman has accused Planned Parenthood of rushing her into a gender transition when she was 18, leaving her with lifelong side effects.

Cristina Hineman has filed a lawsuit against Planned Parenthood, the nation’s largest single provider of abortion, contraception, reproductive care, and sex education.

The organization has in recent years also become a leading provider of gender transition hormones for young adults, offering the service at more than 400 locations. At least 40,000 patients have gone to Planned Parenthood for hormone treatment this year.

Hineman claims she was given a prescription for testosterone following a 30-minute consultation with a nurse practitioner after she was ‘brainwashed’ by YouTubers, The Free Press reported.

She said she was left with permanent effects from the testosterone, including hair on the backs of her hands and face. Her clitoris has become permanently enlarged and constantly feels ‘uncomfortable.’

Meanwhile, Hineman says her sexual response has been dulled, and that a double mastectomy left her chest scarred and ‘alternately numb and raw.’

Hineman says she went to a Planned Parenthood clinic in Hudson, New York, in November 2021 as soon as she turned 18. She was desperate to obtain testosterone after being faced with her parent’s skepticism about her gender dysphoria.

Before the consultation, Hineman says she had been suffering from various mental health issues including self-harm, depression and anxiety. She also has autism.

Hineman told The Free Press that the Covid-19 pandemic and isolation exacerbated her issues – and that YouTubers she followed at the time ‘convinced her that gender was the problem.’

Hineman joins over a dozen young people who have filed legal claims alleging medical malpractice against institutions such as Kaiser Permanente and individual doctors.

The Wrong Kind Of Witch!

Sanchez Manning ( Druids threw me out over trans dispute, claims witch ) reports:

A practising witch claims she was thrown off a druid training course over accusations by a member of the UK Pagan Federation that she was ‘transphobic’ in a row about women’s rights.

Angela Howard said she became involved with paganism and joined the British Druir Order (BDO) in 2020 to find ‘spiritual healing’ after being sexually assaulted.

In 2023, she was ‘knighted’ as a ‘warrior princess’ at Stonehenge and began training as a student ‘bard’…

However, Howard said the solace she sought in druidry and paganism was shattered when she was banned in April from continuing her training because of her support of the exclusion of trans women - males who identify as female - from single-sex spaces for women.
