So this week we have the Labour Party conference. My first report after the film clip below is slightly before the conference started. In case you thought that Keir Starmer was moving towards accepting that women don’t have penises, Kate Osborne MP corrects the position and makes absolutely clear what the Labour Party position is.
The second report is Anneliese Dodds MP making it clear that the Labour Party will bring in the most severe form of conversion therapy bill, a bill that would, effectively, seek to dissuade therapists from using talking therapy with children with gender dysphoria and which would, quite simply, shore up so called gender affirming care and the phenomenon of ‘transing away the gay.’ They will strengthen hate crime laws no doubt bringing us to a 1984 position where your thoughts can be a crime. They will make getting a gender recognition certificate much easier thus virtually introducing self ID by the back door.
The third report is Ms Dodds again, this time claiming that the Labour Party is the party of women. Given what I say above this provided the Conservatives with a complete open goal i.e. ‘but you don’t even know what a woman is!’
Th fourth report is about the shocking fact that the police are recording hundreds of rapes as being committed by women!! But according to the Labour Party it would appear that this is perfectly ok ( even though rape, of course, cannot actually be carried out by a woman).
So, to be more precise, the Labour Party are the party of women with penises.
I think the big questions for us at the 2024 UK General Election will be :
How far will gender ideology be an issue for the electorate;
How far can we try and make sure that gender ideology is an issue for the electorate.
Because I think that Joe and Josephine Public are going to be on our side when it comes to this debate.
I was never a fan of the Carry On films but the shambolic and frightening (given that they may be the next government in the UK) performance of the Labour Party over the last few days brought these films to my mind. They could probably work out that Barbara Windsor was a woman. But they might have more trouble with Kenneth Williams and Charles Hawtrey given how camp they are. I mean they both had penises so they both, obviously, potentially qualified as women.
Bawdiness and corny jokes warning!! 😎
Allison Pearson in The Telegraph ( If MPs want our votes, they must answer a simple question: ‘What is a woman?’ 27 September) reports:

Labour’s Kate Osborne responded angrily to our story that a new website will allow voters to find out whether their MP thinks women can have a penis.
“I’ll save them the bother of doorstepping me,” she huffed on Twitter (now X). “Yes some women have a penis. It’s clear that Tory allies will help with their hashtagwaronwoke. Vilification of trans people to distract from mess country is in.”

Conversion Therapy, Thought Crime and Self ID
Richard Wheeler in The Independent (Labour would introduce ‘no loopholes ban on conversion therapy’ 08 October) reports:
Ms Dodds, speaking at the Labour Party conference in Liverpool, said: “Combating inequality is fundamental to our party, it’s why we’ll always take the right decision over the easy one and we’ll never descend into the gutter, where the Conservatives wish to take us.
“I know it’s been a difficult year for many LGBT+ people. Rising hate crime, including physical attacks, a Tory Government that treats their lives and their rights as a political football, and a Prime Minister that sees them as a cheap punchline.
“Labour will never do that. We believe everyone deserves to be accepted without exception and treated with respect and dignity.
“That’s why we will tackle the rising tide of hate with stronger laws so those who carry out anti-LGBT+ hate crime get the tougher sentences they deserve.
“We will deliver where the Conservatives have failed by bringing in a full, no loopholes, trans-inclusive ban on conversion therapy.”
Ms Dodds also reiterated the party’s intention to modernise gender recognition legislation.

The Party of Women with Penises
Katie Harris in The Daily Express ('You'd have to define one!' Anneliese Dodds mocked for saying Labour is 'party of women' 08 October) reports:
Anneliese Dodds© GETTY
Anneliese Dodds has been mocked by Tory MPs after claiming Labour is the "party of women".
The Shadow Women and Equalities Secretary took to X, formerly Twitter, after speaking at Labour's Women's Conference in Liverpool yesterday.
She said: "Labour is the party of women. While our opponents pay lip service to women, only Labour can close the gender pay gap, tackle the epidemic of violence against women and girls and fix the shocking state of women's healthcare.
"Because only Labour has the political will to do so."
But Ms Dodds was ridiculed by Conservative MPs who pointed out that she had previously struggled to define what a woman is and how Labour has not yet had a female leader.
Workington MP Mark Jenkinson, who sits on the Women and Equalities Committee, said: "You'd have to be able to define one first...”

Women Rapists
Thanks to a wonderful reader for bringing this article to my attention.
Arthur Parashar in The MailOnline ( Police 'wrongly label hundreds of rapists as women in referrals to the CPS' - despite Home Secretary Suella Braverman's orders not to 07 October) reports:
Police have reportedly wrongly labelled hundreds of alleged rapists as women in referrals to the Crown Prosecution Service - despite Home Secretary Suella Braverman's orders not to.
The scale of police adopting the self-declared gender of suspected rapists has been shown for the first time in figures obtained under the Freedom of Information Act.
In the last four years, police forces have referred 260 'females' to the CPS to consider a rape charge, The Telegraph reports.
Labour Policy No 5: Women can commit rape.
The Guardian
Craig Simpson in The Telegraph ( Guardian editor defends paper after gender-critical writers quit 08 October) reports:
Katharine Viner ,Getty/Christopher Furlong© Provided by The Telegraph
The editor of The Guardian has defended the paper from accusations it silenced gender-critical writers.
Katharine Viner has faced claims that staff and management at the publication were hostile to journalists, including Suzanne Moore and Hadley Freeman, who sought to investigate issues relating to gender ideology.
As editor-in-chief Ms Viner has denied that writers were deterred from covering certain subjects and said The Guardian facilitates “debate” on transgender issues.
Ms Moore left the paper saying that she could “no longer say what I wanted to say there”, and Ms Freeman resigned complaining of “bias in the progressive media on transgender ideology”.
Speaking on Sunday with Laura Kuenssberg, Ms Viner said she did not “recognise that characterisation” of events leading up to their departure.
She added: “If you look at the society as a whole. Society is very divided on this subject. All parts of British society are discussing it.”
I am something of an expert on this subject since, virtually every day, I trawl the web to bring you, dear readers, some stories and often have a look at Guardian articles about trans issues. I can confirm that what Ms Viner says is not correct. They are always biased in favour of the trans rights side of the discussion and/or are often providing what is clearly misleading or false information - which is why I normally don’t trouble you with Guardian pieces. However, I wonder whether Ms Viner might now try and rectify the balance a bit? We shall see but I am not holding my breath!

And finally…
Here is a lovely substack piece from Pearl Red Moon mainly about her beautiful Australian garden:
The thought of a Labour govt is terrifying. Gender ideology will spread its tentacles and more hate speech laws will strangle free speech and make it even more difficult to fight it. I almost wish that the Scottish debacle hadn’t happened, because now Labour are forewarned and are no longer openly talking about bringing in self ID. Instead, they are talking about simplifying, modernising the process, which is self ID in all but name. It’s difficult enough to spread the word about gender ideology. Getting people to understand what Labour’s intentions are, is going to be virtually impossible.
